There are twelve boss stories and one epilogue. Around two thirds of the way through the progression you get +1 DP. At the end of the epilogue you get +1 AP.
That's it. There doesn't seem to be any other impact on our characters. The whole thing is essentially a side game unrelated to BDO.
With all the other regions the main quest gives us gear and offers areas with monsters and loot we can use toward our character progression. With LoML completing the story missions just leaves an empty land with nothing to do related to our character progression.
This is the storyline for that one guy.
That said the thrust of the stories is pretty decent, especially in the second stack of Tales when they link it all together. It's just that the minute-to-minute storytelling is blegh.
I even liked the little epilogue quest which is just tongue-in-cheek dumb.
I played with Japanese voices so their VOs don't trip my stereotyping gag reflex as easy.
Never playing through them again though.
LoML is, currently at least, a one-and-done experience for many players, much like Port Ratt was back then. You go there to have been there.
There's some lifeskill stuff and the boss blitzes so maybe keep an alt there if you care.
then you have the crystals and accessories that drop
you have alot of contribution points for no effort + giving you the island coin for beutiful and strange herb
and you have lifeskills to do for crystals and you can go around collecting beutiful and strange herb
the energy recovery potion you can make from that herb is too good
and I mean if you do not lifeskill
you could just sell it
In Boss Blitz, even if you fail to beat the boss, do you get combat XP, skill XP, guaranteed trash loot and consistent rate of valuable drops per hour?
Something that has a chance of something for success where it takes even veteran players as much as fourteen hours to beat a boss is not a reward. A chance of reward doesn't count.
For instance, let's say I'm 42% into 62nd level. How much XP will I get in an hour of boss blitz regardless of success? Will I progress in level experience just from playing?
Let's say I'm trying to save another 4 1/2 billion so I can buy something. How much silver will I make per hour in boss blitz regardless of success?
Let's say I'm trying to save up 3000 caphras. How many caphras will I get per hour? How many accessories will I get per hour even if I fail to beat the boss?
I hear a lot about that valuable things CAN drop. But how much WILL drop per hour, and how much will my character grow in her goals per hour?
LoML isn't another grind zone (unless you do sniper hunting). It's quite obviously set up as a unique area where you don't just run circles for 8 hours a day (unless you sniper hunt lol).
A strange land beyond the ocean where the normal doesn't apply, and mystical tales interweave into whatever and whatsit blah blah blah.
Once you've "experienced the wonder" of the storyline, it's just 5 bosses (of your choice) a week for the chance of a jackpot on Sundays.
Don't read too much into it. Just R Spam as usual if you don't care about the story and burn through it so you get the option at least of boss blitzing for potentially good rewards.
The time you spend in LoML does not help your characters. It doesn't give you experience nor silver nor useful items for the time you spend in it. It's wasted time for those of us who are still, after 13.6 thousand hours, still trying to build our characters so we can do some of the harder areas.
LoML does not help us toward that goal. It's quite frankly a waste of time in the context of BDO progress.
thats what im doing loml for.
storyline?
ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Koreans are bad at writing interesting characters/Making good boss fights that are telegraphed and actually doable in a decent amount of time
So Ill most likely be looking up a guide to do LOML boss rush.
Not everything in the game has to be hyper focussed on hyper gains for the hyper tryhards.
LoML is, quite bluntly, korean pandering. It's mini-korea with koreans doing korean things because that's what the Koreans that make up a large part of BDOs userbase want.
Don't want to spend a few hours exploring the new land? Then forfeit and head back to the mainland and forget this zone ever existed.
There is the +1 AP/DP on offer for doing the tales though, and you unlock crystal slots and new weekly bosses. So either deal or leave basically, complaining won't change anything.
If not, make those orcs in elvia extinct lmao
i wish that player housing worked the same way as it does on the mainland - i really love the life skills aspect of this game, and LotML isn't as compelling in this regard. hopefully there will be more continuity in the future.
that said, i love the landscapes, the music and atmosphere. it just feels a little too disconnected from the rest of the game right now but i'm willing to give it time. this game is so deep and that i'm still feeling overwhelmed (but totally getting sucked in) with how much has changed since i last played!
But I'm really not clear on the gloves. Can I get the gloves just for playing Boss Blitz, or do I have to win boss blitz? What if I play boss blitz for several hours but lose. Do I get anything just for playing? And if I win, is it guaranteed gloves, or is it RNG?
The RNG in this game is already brutalizing me (24+ attempts to PEN armor pieces, 24+ attempts just to try to TRI a godr aye and still failing, etcetera). If it's just more RNG then it sounds like maybe there's no reward for failure and probably no reward for success?
Clarification would be nice. Thanks :)
You can fight whoever you want at whatever difficulty you want as often as you want until you win 5 times.
If you've already done some of the tales, I think you should be able to fight some of the bosses already, the rest unlock as you do their tales.
Once you win 5 different fights (difference in either boss or difficulties), you can't fight any others, however you can repeat the ones you won to better your own clear times.
The resets on Sunday 12:00am at which point you are able to claim rewards for the fights you have won in the previous week. Losses mean nothing and get nothing but you don't lose anything (I don't think crystals break in there?). Your top 5 wins get prizes.
The reward bundles have a RNG chance for the gloves. The chance is better the higher difficulty you cleared, as well as your rank in the clear times.
It's just like regular bosses that you fight and win a box which might have a garmoth heart, but at these are solo, on demand, and you can go nuts trying to beat your best clear times if that's your jam. It has leaderboards and timers and full esporting.
