So instead of just having me go to the city, they forced me to go to magnus and from there pay a fee. It didn't make sense at all.
Was there a quest marker for the intended NPC you could just travel to by horse (or running) ?
If not, and you had the NPC's name, you could just type in the search and get the waypoint, therefore, bypassing the Magnus.
Lastly , you can make that money back in minutes, grinding high density mobs with agris fever
turned on
There are a few problems with this:
1. The gates are identified by pictures rather than words, so the only way to know what region a gate goes is either to memorize the picture (absurd) or to actually click the gate and look for the region it sends you. It also, at that stage, tells you the cost.
2. The other problem is it costs a lot of money, and there are quests that force you to use them.
I find that travel system extremely cumbersome, and I hate that it costs money. But it exists in the game :)
I had a quest telling me to take the serendia gate, for instance, but I have all the gates unlocked. So I had to go up to several gates and click them to find it :(
But if you have played long enough and have decent silver income per hour then this system is convenient to use (albeit loading screen).
so taking the horse and just afk is a must
so the magnus is mostly just for transfering items to/in storages for me
I completed the Magnus in about 12 hours.
I probably would have completed it in 10 hours if I didn't have to keep doing that Tick-Tock puzzle until I finally succeeded.
The storage access to all of your storage containers is the biggest win in completing the Magnus.
While doing the quest, there is No silver cost.
But I wanted to let others know there is a silver cost, after one has completed the quest chain, and not find out like I did via SURPRISE, your on person silver is gone.
I know 2 to 10 mil silver is not much in BDO, but it would be nice if there was an alert popup after completing the quest chain.
"Using the Magnus as quick travel will incur a cost of 10 million silver", so as to prevent surprises to players. 😊
"few" trips through the wells and from 200mil you'll be homeless with 900k and i'm not someone who farms 24/7 for silver since it makes me sick.....
it would've been better to cost 0 silver since you only have so many wells that you can count on two hands
