Most people I met who have super high end gear spent a full year focused on making or getting it. I'd say it's spend lots of time to win if you want to get the best gear.

yeah its either spend money to dominate pvp quicker or grind alot and then dominate pvp if that makes sense

Either a long long grind or pay to win... still the game is much fun

F2p? :blankbs: = longer grinds, needs more planning (vp day in selling items on cm)
Ease of everything? :surprisedbs: = full buffs (kama, old moon, vp) = $50 /month (I'm here)
Full P2W Whale? :lovebs: = Buy and Sell costumes
You guys may hate the last one, but your servers will die if those whales leave the game.

I'm in the middle and the advantage I have is not that noticeable until I tried the other regions. You will feel the restricted if you are used to having those luxuries.

I have a job too and I also get one shot but only by very high geared players.
You shouldn't be worried actually, this is perfectly normal.
Thing is you should give details about your gear (evasion build or dr) how much stats etc...

I'll be able to answer you in detail once I have your stats.

I'm pretty sure most people who call BDO pay to win have no clue how many cron stones it takes to make a high end set of gear else they wouldn't even say it's an option.

Fro instance, I've been working for the last few months trying to upgrade a TET blackstar helm to PEN. Every attempt is 980 cron stones. I've tried at least twenty times and failed so far, even using 233 failstack.

If I were buying and melting costumes to get the cron stones, that would be 40 costumes at around $20 a costume for one piece which I didn't even succeed at yet.

Weapon pieces are almost four times as many cron stones per attempt than armor pieces, and there are three weapon pieces and four armor pieces.

For those of you who think BDO is pay to win, either understand now that it's ridiculous to spend that much real life cash for cron stones, or recognize that you're delusional.

It takes sheer insanity to spend thousands of dollars to make a set of gear for a PC game when you could simply make the gear free with time and actually playing the game.

If someone elects to judge a game based on what the insane do, then I submit that person is insane as well (and I do not say this in jest).

Did you see the youtube video of the US guy who spent 100 000 bucks on BDO ? I think it's 100 000 yes. I wasn't really impressed with how he jusitified this but well...

I think I spent around 700 in 5 years which imo is more than reasonable and it wasn't for gambling with cron :s.

I did hear about the video. I also read that one of the people banned around a year ago had spent USD$150,000 and got banned anyway.

I have no doubt whatoever that there are some people who spend that kind of money on BDO. What I don't understand *laughs* is why sane people judge BDO based on what those insane people do, haha.

But you're not wrong about being fascinated watching it. I recall that for decades growin up there were game shows like The Price is Right or spinoffs in which people could make a ton of money free just on guessing the right door or box. Watching other people win can be an escape from reality. But it's still an escape from reality :)

On serious note, though, I made and spent more than 20,000 cron stones in the last few months without using real life cash. A big part of that is I often bought them from the blacksmith for 2 billion silver per thousand. That's not really so bad. One can save up 2 billion in a short number of days and then either bu something off the market or buy cron stones to try to make something better.

It's free, and surely it's more fun than spending real life cash and crying at the loss of real life cash if all goes badly :)

The game is P2W, the desperate attempt at long time fans to defend it is something you will see in every P2W games forum
it gets very easy to recognize

Arena on the other hand is not p2w, gear is equalized there
