Get to 60, enhance gears, join a guild and pvp.
Grind to lvl 58, hit your first wall. Grind some lifeskills of your choice to earn silvers, with your one shot mob grinding, to legitimately advance further in the game. Pre Order TRI boss gear, to avoid the cancerous P2W oriented RNG casino based progression gear enhancment system.

Then proceed to grind to lvl 61, hit the next wall. Then either deal with the cancerous enhancment system or double down and save up silver for a while, and sell your TRI boss gear and replace with pre ordered TET boss gear. Now you have the basic package of what you need to complete all the content of the game. From here, it's the skies the limit!

you say that yet don't realize 1. this is NOT the first mmo to have a chance based enhancement system in fact does not EVERY mmorpg not have that almost? 2. they did not go the route of oh your gear failled an enchantment past this + it got destroyed and apparently the button to get a 100% chance to enchant is cancerous so you "say" :steammocking:

dont forget to mention that the enhancing part will take anywhere from 1 month to 2 years to catch up in power scale depending on rng and effort. You can failstack the ♥♥♥♥ out of your enhancements. but it is purely up to rng how you get shafted or elevated in gear.

At least all of the highly rated MMOs. Have effort based enhancement and progression systems, that's not chance based, nor P2W in any way shape or form, outside maybe subscribtion and or DLCs.
FFXIV, ESO, Eve Online, GW2, and WoW. Those are the MMOs that has had high positive reviews and user ratings. All the rest have these P2W RNG casino based enhancment progression systems. Ratings are down in the dirt and are not really popular, or have much of a active playerbase at all.

Every bit of progression in BDO and all other Korean MMOs are made to have extreme inconveniences, that become completely lifted by spending a boat load of money.

Now I'm not going to sit here and say BDO is crap. Because it's a decent middle of the road overall MMO. And the best MMO so far to have released out of Korea. However if you are going to sit here and try to say, other decent MMOs progression systems is just as bad as BDOs. I'm sorry but that's just acting like a ignorant white knight. So what's your angle here?

The endgame for 4/5 MMOs listed above are fashion/cosmetic based until new raid/dungeons come out and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Sometimes I wish we had some of that in Black Desert, kinda give us the best of both worlds (western and korean) but that's just a dream as BDO doesn't have a proper cosmetic system.

As for OPs question: Join a Tier 1 PvP guild. Try some lifeskills, build a boat, trade using a wagon, breed horses.
