How many skill points to aim for to get a pretty decent Guardian and Witch? (PvE only).
I was going to stick where I was with about 1500 SP (not a great grinder!). Then PA brought in more Hot Time so I figure I could put more time in at the Bandits near Shakatu -if needed!

My Guardian is lvl 61 and I will be Fugharing to my Witch for her to get the SP benefits too. I have looked at one of the BDO sites that show skill tree planning - but tbh it's a bit over my head. I am only just beginning to understand my Guardian and have only played my Witch enough to get her to Velia, so obviously don't understand her at all yet.

If anyone could help with ball park figures for desirable SP levels, that would be great! I play for fun rather than being a min/maxer - however I would hate to miss out on a significant SP threshold of some sort, by not working a bit now in the easy xp times.

Thanks :)

there are changes coming to sp...but hey that was not your question

also
in succession the most important is to max your damage skills that you constantly do
so 1500 should be more than fine for your main skills
there is alot of kind of worthless fluff skills in most succession trees that are just padding that you put points into as time goes on when you just aquire sp over time

and...awakening
you should have more than enough sp to max every skill in awakening with 1500sp
and again
the pre-awakening skills are mostly just fluff
just things to put points into after you max all the passive skills and ur awakening skills

Thanks joj0.st4r - sorry I should have said awakening was my choice.

I just scared myself - went back to the skill planner and maxed everything out - on the Witch it came out at about 2.5k and I think the Guardian was about 2.2k.

With that in mind thank you for the reassurance that 1500 is ok! My problem is my lack of understanding about the relationship between pre-awakening and awakened skills. Will sit down after the Season is over and take some time to look into this properly. It is helpful to know that a fair amount of "just fluff" exists!

By the way - a sort of parallel question. Is there any particular point in going past level 61? Does anything unlock? - or is it just a case of more is more?

Thanks again - appreciate it!
Advice would be to not skimp on the skills and passives or else you're not really playing a decent class cuz despite you having all the skills levels it's still up to the players if they can extract what's called decent gains.

You can use skill point calculators readily available just ask Google.

The amount of skill points needed to unlock all skills will be reduced in an upcoming update soon. The idea is to reduce it to around 1000 points to unlock everything.

More new soon!

Thanks again for the input folks - appreciated!

Cadry - thank you for the excellent info! I had heard that this change was in the works, but didn't realise it was definite and imminent! Excellent change imho.

Cheers :)

I woo-hoo'd because my Tamer has a little over 2100 skill points, so that will giver her a nice extra weight bonus. 😊
