The meaning of tag system?

So, the archer 1+1 event is over, so far it is the only way i see it as useful for having the tag system. Maybe im just still a newbee with BDO to understand this Taging system.

What i see from Taging system:
1. Charactor while tagged (both) cannot interact with trader
2. Buffs on Char A gose down when u Tag it with Char B and loged into Char B
3. U have 5 min Cooldown everytime u switch between tagged charactors or changed channel, so u cannot switch to the other charactor (i mean the tagged one) instantly
4. they dont share anything, no exp no equipments, for transfering equipment, u need the tent (dunno if it got fixed)

Can anyone tell me some real usage of Taging system?

Only real use i had _once_ was tagging with my gathering class (char that mainly does gathering = better levels = better gathering) when i went to valencia the first time (the city) - did switch from main to gatherer, did a bit of gathering, changed back.
Never did it again for new areas after that.
Also dont know everything about the tagging system neither do i bother so yea....
