Making Plated Pine Plywood?

Hey kind and helpful BDO folks!

Haven't been playing very long but have managed to get to level 53 and I'm trying to build an Epherian Frigate (amazingly difficult). Now, however, I've got myself stuck on the "how" of making "Plated Pine Plywood".

I Googled the matter (as you do). Got the needed ingredients ok (Pine Plywood + Coconuts). Got the processing method too - Heating. And that is were my problems started. The "heating" didn't work.

Then learned that I had missed an early quest in Heidel (the Fice quest-chain) - so did all of those. Result? Heating the Plywood & Coconuts still failed.

Finally arrived at the information that you had to be at Gathering Skilled Level 10 and Processing Professional Level 5 - and, alas, I wasn't. So I bit the bullet of humility, worked hard, and skilled up. At last I thought then - mystery solved. But no it wasn't.

With the necessary skills finally in place I shoot enthusiastically off to the wee blacksmith guy in Keplan for the new compulsory quest chain that bestows the required "Knowlege" to solve my heating process problem - and no quest was offered!

I will spare you the details of the WTF language used at that point, the arm raising gesticulations, the rapid pacing around the room foaming at the mouth, the maniacal rantings etc etc, save to say that I STILL can't make the damned Plated Pine Plywood by Heating in the Processing Menu!

So I have to ask: Can any kind BDO soul out there put me out of my increasing misery and tell me what on Earth I am still missing out on while I still have hair? This Epherian Frigate building thing is already well hard enough as it is (believe me) without this added brick-wall mystery on top, lol.

Lots of good karma is up for grabs here folks for the first kind soul to point me in the right direction

I'm guessing now that my problem can only lie with one of the beginner skills required on the list shown on your link. Will try and figure out which one(s) I've somehow missed out on and try again.

The design of this quest chain is very user unfriendly and convoluted imho. I am not at all surprised that others are getting stumped on it.
