and now with what happened he have become a swordsaint looking for revenge/wrath/asura
he is no longer just a silly ninja after he awakens
he becomes actually cool
right?
I mean I did not pay too much attention to his awakening quests when I did them
but the new outfit is cool
so not sure wtf ur on about
Both Musa and Maewa is what you'd call a Korean Warrior or Hwarang from say the Goguryeo period.
While Ninja is pretty much a Shinobi and "Samurai" baked into one, hence why you have 2 stances for power fantasies sake, not to mention not having to make 2 different classes that serve the same purpose more or less.
This goes for all classes obviously because having to make 2 classes (ignoring gender locks because that's mostly made for economical purposes) is kinda meh from a design aspect. You go from spellcaster to battlemage and vice versa. This adds more depth and fluidity without making the combat too cumbersome by having to press 5 million buttons for the sake of pressing buttons as can be seen with most older MMOs where skill bloat was a "feature" or something like FFXIV which does the above because they suck at class design and because they had to cater to console players.
I'd classify Ninja Awake as a Ronin rather than Samurai since you aren't tied to a master. But obviously the less <you> know the the less you actually care and only see what you assume.
As for ninjas, most were just farmers with a side job hence why the weapons tend to be farmer tools and the rest is just romanticized fiction. You can see this in Chinese culture as well as Korean. And if you know anything about warfare in general, most had to rise in ranks in order to get somewhere, be it a peasant or a highborn that was forced to commit. And let's not forget the baggage that comes with it. This goes for both the West and the East. You had to start somewhere in life regardless if you wanted it or not.
You might as well consider the Awakened form the "true" form, but because of amnesia you forgot about it and go back to "simpler times" as is mostly hinted in the class quests if you ever bothered to read them.
Anyways, to clown number one: I never said the outfit wasn't cool looking. What im on about was pretty clear in my OP.
To clown number 2: You were cool for the first 4 paragraphs, but then you wanted to try and get some jabs in. So let's start with your history lecture. Musa means warrior; yes. It is also very obvious what they were going for with the class. I like your thought that the ninja is actually a hybrid. But i can't imagine saying something so moronic and make assumptions about what i know or cared about enough to make assumptions. LOL at your skill bloat thoughts btw. Skill bloat is what the generations that can't focus on much at one time screech and we end up with brain dead games like ESO and guild wars 2 and Neverwinter. RIP to wildstar, one of the first big name brain dead games. WoW has since dumbed itself down to the same. But to dis FFxiv? LOL!!!! Not only is it not comparable to an action MMORPG like BDO, but the class design isnt much different either. The classes design doesnt suck at all. Maybe you're just bad and have trouble with too much stimuli?
Lastly, what I "bother to read" has nothing to do with whether or not a class' description, style etc all go together. Ninja is the obvious stealth class, it's called freakin ninja in the western market, and the Musa plays like a stereotypical samurai class/character. Not sure why so many got their panties in a bunch.
To the last person, you're not a clown, but I never said any thing about wanting true historical accuracy. I was clear that my issue was about the fact that we have these 2 westernized classes whose armor seems to be on the opposite class, but you DID acknowledge that part ;)
Any who, this was fun. Toodles, all.
