You don't have a GamePass
I have purchased the game via steam, now this whole migration happened and now I am being asked to buy a game pass? does this mean i should be refunded by steam to be able to buy the game AGAIN? I don't understand why I am being asked to buy the game again!

You need to transfer over your account to pearl abyss. Try contacting support if you are having trouble with the transfer.
