Flawed MMO; a glorified old MU online
This is not a post about ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on everything that moves nor should it be taken as an offense. But I feel like I must post this, knowing how much time I lost in BDo actually doing... nothing at all. emptiness is what i call.

Having played so much MMOs, from a long time, stuff like Everquest, WoW vanilla, mu online, DnD, Dc. MO, ff11, ffboring14 and so much big etcs... BDO feels like a copy of old asian MMos, very stale when it comes to play it, with a juge enphasis on bad codding, bugs, and casinos.

The game has a lot of issues everywhere, to mounts, composer, translation and etc, and is full of "casinos" (Lootboxes, rng enchancement MUlike, etc) base on simple clicks, like a mobile game, with lots of "rewards" that forces you to do stuff you dont like-for example people leveling sage and deleting it because they dont like it- with a full roster-too big and repetitive- of weird classes that barely shows any kind of interest in balacing pve or pvp, and absolutely based on gear-gear system power, gear check, etc- with almost 0 skill/gameplay involved... With more than half of its content based on AFK. To sum that up, the game is purely SIngleplayer, there's no MMO, people only interact with others mechanically when they hurt each other and nothing more-expect shais player, which are basically music bot that the buggy composer use it to playback the sheets. The Ai, clunky, poor, with weird AOE instead of actual decent fights, based only on gear, is one of the worse feature the game offers; The movement of the classes are wonderful and crazy... yet the rest is completely stale: Mobs, Bosses, Npcs... everything is stale as an 80's game. Content is added vía dialogs full of awful texts-even the stuff that they call "event" for some reason- in an absolute wonderful looking world that deserve way much more overall.
No challenge, no dificulty, no teamplay except some ending zone. No real bosses, no fun.
To add this, the story is pretty bad, with an even worse translation to english, and very bad writting in dialogs that almost nobody reads due to the low quality.

Coming from other mmos and all the experience ive earned, while also being an avid PVP players in best pvp games (fighting games especially, like guilty gear), I found nothing of interest in BDO, and I swear ive tried, more than once, getting sleepy in my keyboard numerous times, while more than 60 percent of my time is... AFK, the most used mechanic of tha game, that is not gameplay, you dont play at all.

I simply cannot understand why some people seen this game refreshing in the past, when most of it is copypaste from old games-very very old- but putting it in a way that you actually dont play the game, you just set up stuff and grind until the world end, waiting afk to grind items, afk to craft, afk to travel, etc, etc... It felt all so stale and outdated-
I have found this game an exact copy of MU online (old MMO) with same practices, mechanics and even some zones and classes like the "elves".

Pearl constantly said they were changin stuff to stuff more interesting... but the only thing they done is putting another caster to the roster, simplified some monsters, nerfing them, giving free stuff and more work to have them, nothing more, nothing less.

Today I was trying to lvl to 61 for my season char and I almost slept again. Its imposible to feel so bored in a videogame, its not healthy. Got way enough. I'd advise for the MMo veterans outthere to not touch this, the dissapointment is so huge that, even if the game actually do some stuff nicely, is not worth all the vast majority of stuff that is very awful.

Well you can't compare these MMO with BDO since it's pretty much a sandbox MMO, you set your own goals and work with your guild, or just go solo.

I'll quote you again:

I understand that you want a bad MMO, as in one you can play 2 week and that's it you are done with the game, but's that's not how BDO work, also please don't play any Disgaea games because there in order to beat all ennemies you'll have to grind for quite a lot of hours and repeat many things....... so MMO veterans may like BDO more than a casual MMO player like you, I don't mean this as an insult to you but playing many MMOs doesn't make you a veteran especially if you've played a lot for less than 20 hours each. MMO veterans usually have over 1000 hours in an MMO before switching to another MMO for some reason, most tend to stick with the same MMO, like WOW veterans do.

So to resume your post: You are frustrated because you don't like grinding and you are not the best at PVP, I can prove that by quoting you:

"Coming from other mmos and all the experience ive earned, while also being an avid PVP players in best pvp games (fighting games especially, like guilty gear), I found nothing of interest in BDO, and I swear ive tried, more than once, getting sleepy in my keyboard numerous times, while more than 60 percent of my time is... Sadly for you I'm a huge GG and BB fan and I have no idea why you would compared a 2D fighting game with the Pvp of an MMO where you could go like 40vs40 or 4vs1.......... also the PvP in BDO is very different compared to most MMO, at least for node wars, for 1vs1 then it's pretty standard but in a way not really. Finally an MMO expert would have seen that levels doesn't matter that much since your gear is not limited by level........ an MMO veteran would have seen that. So I can be level 59 and beat you just because I have a better gear, because gear is what is important here. So if you don't like to grind you can afk lifeskill to earn money and upgrade or buy better gear, you could explore the world to gain knowledge and energy in order to hire workers and make money passively. I understand that you would rather pay in order to have a high level character like in WOW and such but here levels aren't that important and BDO is not just a brainless grinding like in most MMO, So if you just want action play a shooter game or find an MMO that does that and let the players who prefer a more slow paced gameplan that actually requiere a brain enjoy their MMO, I really doubt that PA will shorten the game and make you stuff for PvP in 1 week just because you asked for it.

So if you don't like BDO play something else, otherwise the game won't change to your liking.
this game is such a giant fluster cluck that i cant even figure out what to do. i go to a town and try to navigate to the storage to free up invenotry space/weight, and i get sent to some other players house instead.try setting up trading carts to auto earn money, and it gives absolutely no information aside from the cost of good and the price of my team, lord forbid they tell me how much profit i can actually make. gear is so immportant, you are REQUIRED to switch to the highest level gear you can equip, as soon as you equip it, or enmies 1 shot you across the map. pvp is an absolute joke, join a random team and enjoy half the enmy team being several levels higher than you, 1 shotting you every time they see you.
Play if you want but don´t force it.
Games are meant to be enjoyed, so if you don´t enjoy this one just move on to the next, BDO is simply not worth fighting over.

Yes the game is not kind to people who are lazy to do research. If you want to access a storage their is a lens icon next to the map on the top right corner, click on it and you'll get to pathfind your target (you chose, storage, cook, etc etc etc).

Yes you can't PvP after only 2 hours in-game like in most MMO.

Honestly stopped reading at "ffboring14"

The game isn't for anyone who doesn't want to play it as their sole game or dedicate huge amounts of time to it.

Also for a pvp focused game it is kind of lacking in that department with little to no rewards for partaking.

Publish a video here about how you did pathfind the storage because I don't believe you.
Even 24 hours of playtime is very low for PvP, so once again the game is not kind to players who don't do some research, knowledge is power in this game.

Same here.

I don't like fish, but I don't feel the need to head to a fish-related forum to advertise that fact whilst also taking a dig at chips along the way. I just avoid eating fish and get on with things.

Review section is where to go if you want to dissuade possible buyers - not the forum.

Only way to healthy play this game is to ignore everything and just do your own thing. Don't focus on loot boxes crap, don't get obsessed about your gear rating, just do what you enjoy doing in the game. Create some lifeskilling characters and do that semi AFK and create a main for some mob grinding and bosses when you feel like it and have fun with that. you can also join an active guild and do guild activities and hang out with other guild members etc. Just relax and enjoy. And if you don't enjoy doing that then the game is not for you.

Yeah, I think the game "is not" for me, it feels to small over and over compared on what I need and im used too. I'm trying to play it with friends and ive found cool people but... theres nothing to actual play inside, most of the things asks for me to spend time, especially afk, not to actually play. Its sad.

most people I met also get bored and force themself to play and grind, get burnout and come back in a few months...

I just want to play, get challenged and spend time with people, what the hell is wrong with "MMos" nowadays.

Not here to be afk, Im here to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ play and do different stuff that works actually differently, not pressing same button over and over or go to sleep with the game open.
If not, whats the point?

I mostly only do composer stuff lately, and its still very limited.

I dont want to dissuade people, I dont care about people and everyone have their taste and experiences, I care about why do some people call this refreshing when its a copied old styled corean mmo 100/100 with copied features of known recent casual mmos with afk tendencies in top of the cake. Its not right.

MMo "veterans" play mmos they like. If you like asian MMos, dont force yourself and others to think that the only way to be an mmo is that way.
Seasonal chars are forced to lvl to finished the pass, and I done it.
Gear is way much worse in this game than leveling.
People compare and say that "bdo" is like a FG because of combo, when actually the system is even simpler than WoW pvp which are half based on Dices.

If you say that bdo actually ask for brain task... You migth have never played other games then. And bdo players might laugh on what you just said lol.

Indeed, some people feel like they need to 100% all their games but really in the end you should play a video game in order to have a good time, unless it's your job to play video games.
