+2000 hours deleted?

Hi guys,
So, after a long break, just logged in.
Saw a strange new account profile request.
Logged in only to find out that I lost my account and +2k hours, +500€ invested in.
All due to a move of ownership? Are you for real?

This is robbery, anyone knows if Steam provide any support on this?
What about the new owner: any form of compensation?

Thanks, I haven't seen much threads. Most seem locked.

I probably won't restart then too bad. I'm not keen to pay for things I already bought (mounts, furnitures, etc..). I used to come back mostly during summer time, spending a good amount of cash on the store.

I don't understand why they couldn't move all accounts, as these ownership transfers happen a lot in this industry but it's first time I hear about flat out deletion.

Well, I guess they lost a "good" customer, as I would consider that not many players spend that much on a game.

Nothing to do with Steam or PA, it was based on EU law - the so called "right to be forgotten". In other words they can't just hang onto your personal data without explicit permission.

They did spend about 6 months repeatedly emailing and announcing that this was going to happen.

I guess I'll try SOLO even though I'm prety sure BDO is more in-depth in terms of possibilities.
The dread of redoing my countless sleepless hours raising my fishing skills to Master 4, taming, etc..it's too sad and too much.

Sorry for your loss, I could have lost my acc if I didn't paid any attention about the transferring data. I quit more than 2 years ago with like 3000 hours played but managed to catch the news.

They sent out emails, plastered social media with it - I feel your pain, but they did a lot of fair warning for months before the switch over.

you had like the entire year to do the switch my guy. people were mad about this literally months ago. and they emailed me and posted on steam like 100x so there were allot of options for you to take care of it..........

Hard to feel bad when they went out their way time and time again about losing your data, for months. Big rip for you though.

you had months to swap, pretty safe to say it was a waste the moment you stopped caring about the game and didnt see the months notice

When Pearl Abyss gave the heads up about taking over full ownership and when you could apply to have your data transfer over.

At that point in time I was not playing Black Desert and was not interested in playing it. But I went ahead and apply to have my data transfer over on the first day you was allowed to. Just in case I change my mind I want to play the game again that way I don't have to start all over.

Guess what about 11 days ago I started playing Black Desert again. I'm glad I took the couple mins to apply to have my data transfer over so I keep everything I had.

They could not legally move your account without your permission.
