Is this the best armor?

Im pretty new to BDO and all and i bought Ultimate Dobart Armor from a Blacksmith in a town and so far i havent seen armor that is better than it except from the PEN armor that is in the central market. How do i get better armor/weapons? Do i craft it or buy it somewhere else?

Boss gear is best I guess, but if you are a new player any armor with more AP/DP is progression. You can buy low enhancement armor on the market and enhance it further yourself, but unless you are lucky it is really not doable for a new player. In other words, you need to grind for silver till you have enough to buy enhanced gear from the market or have enough cron stones and failstacks for a TET/PEN enhancement attempt.

If i were to grind for silver, how much should i get and what armor should i be looking for? I understand looking for the ones that have higher DP/AP then what i have but which ones excatly?

It really depends if you want to go for PVP or PVE. Good gear has extra buffs and even more if you use a full set of the same gear. For boss gear there are other ways to get them than the market.
