If you are coming from WoW ,this game defenetly isn't for you.
For 10 bucks its worth it. yes you can pay to progress faster, but if your looking for hours of fun for the cost of lunch or a 6 pack of beer, this will do fine,
ESO.
Again, I own a non steam and a steam version.
Combat, feels meh compared to BDO
The enviorment outside of towns all feel baren, deserted isloated and semi dead, and wash out coloring. Other areas it feels alive.
ESO has some pretty sweet features. Both have their plus and negatives. I'd suggest both, but they cant be compared.
BDO and ESO both being MMORPGS is where they pretty much end.
BDO A grindfest(which I love, but I love POE and Diablo) Massive open world, clearly an asain mmo, not much better ported than AA was.
ESO, has maybe a bigger learning curve at first, is nothing like skyrim, but has its own special appeal.
Hope this helps.
BTW, pets ARE a huge benefit, I am just too cheap to buy 3 more on my steam account when I have them on non steam, I bought the steam game on sale for $5
(EDIT)The PVE its great.
Not worth for PvP because of P2W and old players full tet/pen (end game stuff).
But then 10€ is not much, you can try it's beautiful at least.
BDO without pets is like playing GTA without using guns/ driving cars.
