No, MODs are NOT encouraged by the developers. Some are tolerated more so than others, so do be mindful of that. You do however get to keep your stuff if you decide to buy the game after the trial.

oh sorry i just looked this up and it is against the TOS to mod the game in any way. i had no idea. i was told by a click bait add about BDO that moding is incurraged. i had no idea. it was against the TOS> so yeah wont be doing that now.

you can safely use the nude or voices mod, change fonts and i think theres one that changes base armor, because they are textures files they cant be detected and no one has ever been banned for it.
the only way you can get banned using them is if you post screenshots of your character nude.

To add: GMs will NOT assist you if you somehow mess up your game installing a mod. That's all you really have to look out for.

And like Angelo said, do not post screenshots of it. Specially if you use steam cause you can lose your screenshot upload privileges.

in most games mods arent allowed, although sometimes if u ask a admin for specific info about mods if they are allowed or not they can give better details, tera for example also has no tollerance for modifications, although recently the EU server (gameforge) made a exception for DPS meters, im not sure which mods are available for BDO and i doubt that they allow it but if such thing as a dps meter exists for BDO you can always ask their support team since these are mostly external and dont change gamefiles, only request information going through server

always before thinking about mods read their ToS and ask support, i think they will give very usefull information if a mod isnt or is allowed, before asking do not use any mods or do anything to get yourself in trouble

yes and no, although allot of games nowadays have mods and dont actually care about those there are some issues, example might be that steam doesnt allow that many games to have mods, yes its not their responsibility but still modding specific games is against Steam's policy and maybe also against the original host's policy, now if its against the host's policy you might expect a ban, although on small modifications some hosts are really flexible however steam might have a different opinion about it, now steam can be a pain then because they can give either a VAC ban or even block your account just because you modified a file

so yeah i agree with you that most games do but on the same time disagree, just like you said its a shady area and google everything and ask the hosts themselves before acting with any mods because mods can be very helpfull but harm your account at the same time, and surely your account is worth more then a mod is ^^

Steam has nothing to do with mods in games. It's the Dev's who say, yes or no. Steam has zip to do with modding other then supporting workshops on games that have the support.

Many games on and off steam have modding allowed. Usually the ones that are flakey about modding are online games with local files. You mod files and thats when you get Banned IF the game isn't a pro-mod game. Vac Forums will verify this for you too. Just google the game, again steam isn't used by everyone but will enforce Dev's choices. There can be a few exceptions. (Thinking Vac Bans --> Legit servers with VAC on games with or without mods)

I use nude mods in lots of games I play and I have a hot wife and children, I just like to look at naked representations of the female anatomy, i find it pleasing. I resent the poster who made the 'pathetic' comment. I was only googling to see if mods were supported in general but felt the need to reply because that guy is a straight up A hole. (I add that I have children not only to brag that I have a cute wife, but to prove that I have indeed enjoyed and tasted that sexiness and I still like to use nude mods. I'm not some pathetic loser desperate for a lay, I got it on tap :P)

the devs of this game has sead thy will pur-a-ban any one useing a mod on thjis game like that of the nude code or the big breasts mod and will take any one that has mad a mod to cort and make a class action lawsuit and sue to the full extent of the law .
