Why Can't I ram with bartalis old sailboat ?

So The new sea quest gives us an old bartali sailboat and tells us to go kill a sea monster. The boat does not seem to do anything. Shooting at it with my witch doesn't seem to do anything. Every post I've looked up online says nothing about how to use the boat. Videos show people ramming it but I just kinda float over it. what do ? How to you make the boat kill the sea cow ?

I think with the bartali you just shoot the cannons ? Hope that helps

i have a hard time with that mission too....seems like someone on the cannons and other player would have to move the ship around to get few hits

Sorry I was ignoring this thread. You indeed cannot ram with the freeboat it's cannons only. It helps to have a friend on the cannon while you line up the boat. At this point it takes maybe 5 mins to do with minimal damage :)

Most of the guides on the net showed people using their own Frigates which is why it confused me ! :)
