"Special characters aren't allowed"

Wow ok I've been sitting here for an hour trying to find a name for my character and I can't even choose anything because everything is taken thanks for the strict naming policies of this game. Also all I did was add two numbers at the end of my name, yet I can't do that because "special characters aren't allowed" even though it says numbers 0-9 are allowed in names. Like ok? I didn't add any spaces or anything besides letters and a couple numbers. I'm realizing at this point I'm better off choosing a random sequence of letters for a name like I did last time because that's literally the only way you're going to be able to play this game. World of Warcraft back in the day had more flexibility and still does. At this point I just want to uninstall the game again. I thought I'd give it another shot but I can't even get in.

Also the characters still look really grainy from the last time I played this game, it's like their skin is made of sand. It doesn't matter what graphics settings I use, the character textures are just bad.

As a matter of fact, YES. Who cares if there are 500 players named "JOHN" their are millions IRL. Dev's should ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the game!

on one side, it kindof bothers me too as i thought that was what the family name was for
just have that one unique and let first names have more freedom
on the other side, i have 3 characters with the names i wanted without having to add weird X and whatevers
so there are plenty of names still open

I had no problem at all creating names for my 8 characters so far. Maybe it's because I am original?

I agree with this post. If Blizz can add a [GenericName]#XXXX system so people get the names they want, Kakao can certainly add something similar for their player base. +1 for this post.

Try to figure out a name. I got a pretty good name for my Beast Tamer. Her name is Shigekou and she looks very japanese. It's fitting. I know you'll find a name
