Black Desert

Black Desert

I'd need information about the Desert.
Well, I'm investing in trading but I figured out that in the desert you can't mount a normal horse, I think you need a camel, but I'm not sure if they can be connected with a wagon. So here's all my question:
1: Is it safer to pass through the desert or to pass by sea ?
2: Is it too dangerous to do some trading with a wagon in the desert (Trent - Valencia) ?
3: Is it worth it to pass in the desert or it's better to run at the border ?
4: Is there the possibility of a auto run from Altinova to Valencia ?

You can go across the desert. Horses are slower in the desert, but I'm quite sure people use wagons. The sea may be safer (and many people ship their goods to Ancado Inner Harbor), but you always want to get the Desert Buff when trading high volumes.

2: Is it too dangerous to do some trading with a wagon in the desert (Trent - Valencia) ?
No. A lot of the desert is pretty empty. Learn the landmarks and avoid the mob areas and you will be ok (also bring water and tea)

3: Is it worth it to pass in the desert or it's better to run at the border ?
I believe you get the Desert Buff at Ilebab Oasis, so you want to use the desert. The border areas are filled with mobs, so that would probably be a rough ride.

4: Is there the possibility of a auto run from Altinova to Valencia ?
I'm not sure, but I don't think so.

Thank you ser ! But about the desert I was wandering, we need some kind of preparation right ? I know you can't auto path, see your map, and everything, tho, I'm not sure about the point but I'll give it a try. So I only need water and tea ? Tea for the night and water for the day if I'm correct.

Thanks for the fast reply ! You're da real Cap'tain !

Yes. Purified water for the day and Anise Tea for the night. Just put them on your quick slot and if you get the debuff, hit the appropriate key.

I've not gone very deeply into the desert, but having to navigate by landmarks is actually a nice change.

So, I just tried, it was the easiest thing I ever did, I don't know why people are that scared I just bought 20 purified water with 20 Anise Tea, but I only used 2 purified water. I wasn't lost, when I arrived I just went south and found the village, then piece of cake. No enemies, nothing.

There's only one question that I'm not sure tho. I haven't seen the answer I was looking for so I'll ask it to you, I'm sure you'll have the answer. SO when you trade form a trade manager you get a distance bonus, the farther, the more valuable your trade gets and the more XP you get. This is why I connected Trent to Valencia. BUT when I'll be making crate I won't be getting them from the trade manager.

So do I get a distance bonus when I sell them at Valience or I got to do something to get it, or otherwise, it's just absent ?

You do get the distance bonus, and it's based on the town where the crate is crafted in (or the town where the worker is from, I haven't tested this.). Which is why people will have their crates crafted in Trent, Epheria or Calpheon and then sell them off at Valencia or Aheraza Town, when they have reached Master 2 in Trading and can get the desert buff.
