Ha, i always found funny how in Lotro (Lord of the Rings online) you can get drunk ,more and more, then screen get all REALLY shaky and blurry for like 10 minutes, and your character mumble something drunkly. Quite funny, but i was forced to turn off advanced graphic effect to get rid of that visual debuff (cos theres a lot of quest when you need to get drunk and run around whole Shire) ;D

It's all those potions. Using this or that to give yourself a boost. Ranging from food that will "speed" you up, to liquid concoctions that numb pain and boost performance.. all of which can drain your bank account, leading you to robbing the local orcs of their pocket money to fuel your addiction.

And yes, clinicaly, it causes more damage than heroin, albeit being far less addictive and thus causing less psyschological damage (living under a bridge and doing "things" for money).

EDIT: Oh wait what a mistake, ofc. Alcohol makes people live under a bridge aswell, however its not a thing that happens after a beer, like it does happen everyday to poor souls taking a needle to the arm and going fly to relief themselves of reality for a moment.
Its this sneaky disease that slowly takes over while people think they are completly in control and everythings just fine, until its too late and rehab the only solution.
