Ok, thanks :)
Is game worth playing, getting into?
This game can be really overwhelming for a new player , so i suggest to try to do all the main story quests and also watch some guides for new players before getting into the game.
On 18th March it's the big anniversary, when they give free surpressed TRI boss gear for reaching lv 58-60, so if you wan't to really get into the game now it's the time, but keep in mind it's a grindy game, so make sure you use 530 % combat + 530 % skill exp from PearlShop with Loialty points, this will help a lot in grinding for level or skill exp, and don't forget about main story quest's.
Thank you so much for the help and info! How do I use the Pearlshop and buy stuff in-game? Do I use the Kakao Cash I can buy through Steam? Also, what is a good class I should go with for my Character? Further help appreciated :)
Yes, if you wan't at some point to buy somenthing from Pearl Shop, you can use Kakao Cash here on steam, this game gives a lot of free Pearl items and you can buy some of them with Loialty points.
About class for a new player, usually it's recommended Wizard/Witch , Archer but also Striker and Mystic, keep in mind any class can be viable with enought dedication.
create an account and go check out the pearl shop prices then once you pick yourself up off the floor close that browser and don't do it.
weight upgrades are essential, then you will be buying inventory slots, then costumes, then pets, then a tent and other stuff to upgrade your gear... £100's later you will probably regret starting down the path.
go buy a nice watch or something ...... you know something real and tangible that you can sell later if you get bored with it.
I have not bought any inventory/storage slots nor any weight buff, because I have not needed that at all. Now again with the current event I am getting 16 free inventory slots. You just have to play daily and keep an eye out for the events to get most of the pearl stuff for free.
Just, because you don't want to spend a dime on the game does not make BDO bad, it just makes you cheap.
CCP games is now owned by pearl abyss, same people who do BDO which is why the micro transactions increased heavily in eve online.
the weight upgrades can't be bought through the ingame market - around £50 if you think that is a bargain you have issues, the whole game is gimped to lure out the credit card, on average around £100 per character to get it where it should be... if you think that's great then i am happy for you.
you WILL need the extra inventory slots i assure you, wait til your inventory is bursting at the seams with all the "free" stuff they pile onto you, which is mostly junk pots and stupid event stuff, again to make you buy inventory slots.
also good luck grinding without any weight upgrades or without buying a camp, you will be constantly having to stop grinding just to run off and empty your inventory.
if you think BDO is a bargain and cheap fill your boots and break out the credit card cos it is one of the worse pay to win gaming experiences ever to come to pc.
so break out that credit card and pay £100's and enjoy the experience.
P.S. .. just noticed there is a nice sale on for the weight and inventory and costumes.
I didn't know it was them that bought EvE, funny coincidence haha. Not that in any way it counters my argument, the fact that EvE always was a payed sub game and a game that even let you sell subs ingame in exchange for ingame currency.
Weight buffs can be bought with loyalty points, again, you just need to keep on playing and you can get them.
I have 100+ inventory slots on my main character and 2 extra characters with also a bunch of extra slots. During grinding the weight limit and inventory slot count is balanced right now. When I reach max weight I also reach max inventory. I just run/drive to the nearest location to dump it and do it over again, I don't need that tent either. Besides, 90% of the time in the game I am life skilling, only my farmers needs inventory space, my main character only sits on a horse all day.
