New Ninja Player: Awakening or Succession
Hello, I am a new player who chose ninja about to get to level 56. I was wondering which is more beneficial, going down the awakening or going down the succession? Also what are the pros and cons of both? Thank you.

I like succession better. Awakening just felt awkward, and very unfamiliar.

Damage-wise, succession just barely beats awakening. It attacks faster, has shorter cooldowns, and still retains all of the ninja lateral mobility that allows you to prioritize back attacks without getting into the complicated maneuvers or hemorrhaging too much stamina, even though its individual abilities do less damage. Awakening tends to have a lot of focus on fast gap-closing attacks, which can make you miss a lot until you get a feel for the spacing and timing.

If you liked playing the ninja, go succession. If you found the ninja moveset and combat style kind of repetitive or tedious, and want to feel like you're playing a different class without having to actually make a new character (and maybe get some better damage for those boss enemies that move around a lot), go awakening.
