Starting all over (maybe)

I feel sooo lost guys, like I've been gone for soo long
So I'm thinking of starting all over, and I really want to keep the name I use bcuz its gonna be the main account I use. Which means I'll have to delete the old one.

But I was wondering if I delete him, will the contribution points b lost. I think it will, so then I lose the houses I bought whats going to happen to all of my items I've left in storage?
I'm no longer going to have the space for them since the houses will b gone

Huh, thinking about it, wut happens to the workers I own? .-. maybe I wont delete him after all lol one of the workers name is orange n another red (or purple?)

But I really feel like I should to get back in the groove, n i don't wanna run around with what feels like an alt cuz I'll want to b the same class, look, and NAME

I'm pretty sure you'll lose everything if all the characters on the account are deleted. But the easy workaround is to make an alt as a placeholder while your main character is getting deleted and remade. Once your main character is remade, delete the alt if you don't want any alts. As long as another character exists on the account you won't lose your workers, houses, contribution etc.

If you want to be 100% sure you can always send in a ticket and ask the BDO Team. If you look up Black Desert Online Zendesk it'll lead you to their Support page.

I've come across several topics on the main BDO forum that claim even if you delete ALL the characters you won't reset the account and lose everything. These are from players responding to people who actually want a true reset of the account. To lose everything and start fresh. They're told to simply buy a new account. It's very possible you could delete them all and be alright. Even without any characters existing the Family name will continue to exist, that I know for sure. Keeping an alt around is just a safeguard just in case. Your contribution, houses, pets, maids, inventories in different cities etc are linked to your family not your main or first character you create.

Hmm.. I'm not exactly far into the game (lvl 22 I think) I was thinking about picking up and continuting, but I just feel like I'm missing something I just don't know what it is! Gahh!

If you're only lv 22 you aren't missing much to be honest. Just jump back in and maybe focus on your main story quest to level up. If you aren't in a rush take some of the side quests too and you'll learn how to do different life-skills as well. It's around 56 where the game gets interesting and you unlock a new play-style (awakening). Before 56 it's all tutorial anyway. You'll level up really quickly around your level and kill monsters really easily.

If you don't want to go through the hassle of remaking your main character you can always make an alt to go up to that point you were last time. The experience is the same. It's very likely if you stick with the game you'll end up with alts further down the line. Some people like to have certain alts play certain roles (horse trainer, gatherer, cook, etc).

bdo hasnt recieved any new content in like 3yrs just map expansions all u do is kill worldbosses theres nothing to start over

You can if you want. It seems you're set on restarting that main character. It's just that you can hit level 22 in under an hour. Deleting and remaking takes much longer.

I think I'm gonna just pick up from where I left off, if I remember correctly some life quests repeat per major city. Like that one time I got a free fishing rod twice from the same quest, just different city.. I think .-.
Anyways I'll prob run into everything again so I'll end up relearning it all
