the answer you will get is one coming from a really particular player in BDO.
I have 3 Mains, you read correctly, 3 Mains all level 60 and 61 :p.
1- Dark Knight (245 AP 246 acc 315 DP)
2- Tamer (210 AP 372 DP, around 700 evasion and 300 acc -> My MEME Build....very hard to kill in one shots...unless you go Magic AP 260+.There is a difference between regular and Magic AP. I keep the spots usually because stupid PKers have a hard time even with 260 AP.)
3- Guardian (before....233 AP 246 acc 315 DP....now after TET fails....well...all lower T^T)
It´s impossible for me to play one class, I just can´t. I love changing classes and levelling up many classes raises family fame too. I surely put a lot of money in those classes but, I have many playing options.
Concerning the Gear, nothing very difficult. I just give the armor and accessoires of one class to another, very simple. Each class keeps her weapons.
Now to the answer and without hesitation -> go...DARK KNIGHT Succession. Dark Knight has been nerfed to her very DNA in the past and became a low tier class. Now she is shining again and her succession is based on concentrated powerful attacks rather than dispersed AoE Awakend attacks.
I don´t play Sorceress...maybe in the future her succession is also extremely powerful but.....another nice DK playing succession in BDO, you will not regret it. Range, power and OP Black Spirit´s Rage skills is what you get.
-> Once you go Succession DK you never go back to Awakend DK. NEVER
Thank you for the reply! I think I'll end up being like you with 2 mains. I can't seem to pick between the two. I did try DK succession, but the coolness factor of awakening is what has me hooked. I might switch back to succession though, it was a bit easier to grind with. I love my Sorc, the skills are cool and strong, but the controls feel clunking sometimes (I'm looking at you, black wave) which frustrates me. If it wasn't for the bad controls, I'd be more inclined to play her but as of right now, I am thinking of maining the DK and perhaps just playing Sorc as an alt here and there.
I'm just worried that if I main a DK, people won't want me for pvp situations :(
HA! People will think you suck.....and then when they are dead...they quit the battlefield or rage kill you.
I can even kill Strikers with the same gear which is really hard you know, since Strikers and Mystics have 30% Magic AP damage reduction. This means that, when a striker uses 2 skills, I have to use 6 or 7 skills.
DK´s awakening is cool don´t get me wrong but...only for PVE, succession is awesome in both scenarios PVE and PVP.
I have Guild members who play only one class for ages...and the rest are alts. I don´t know how they do this, I can´t >_<.
Sorceress is much harder to play. Stamina and MP management are the biggest problems. For DK it´s the same but, the DK succession for example uses less MP than the Sorceress and Tamer succession (I actually whent back to awakening with my Tamer, i couldn´t stand to lose block and mobilty even if it means to lose 300HP and +8 MAgic AP and an OP Heilang....well.).
Concerning the MP usage of succession, if you fail to kill your opponent quick...you run out of MP and you can´t attack anymore.
I have no MP problems with my succession DK and i have 750 MP. My Tamer has problems with succession, if i don´t kill in 10 seconds max, my mana (770) gets down to 0. Tamer succession eats up MP like crazy.
If DK provides very little I invite you to try this out against a succession DK. I fought deliberatly against Strikers with higher GS, knowing they have 30% damage reduction against Magic AP. I can tell you that my 245 AP DK had no problems killing them even if i had to use more skills.
Asking for the server and the Guild, then speaking about levels.
This looks like an off-topic argument, we are speaking about choosing between Dark Knight and Sorceress and between succession or awakening.
Thank you HiPS. I know it sounds trivial, but this decision is important to me since I'll likely be playing this game a lot. So far, from what I can tell, most non-biased people strongly suggest Sorc and the DK fanboys recommend DK. I do like DK, but it seems succession is much stronger and that's less fun. The scales are starting to tip towards Sorc now. Sorcs seem in much higher demand and no one seems to take a DK seriously.
Bleh, I can't pick! Halp.
People are stupid. When they hate a class for various reasons they say it sucks. When a class is overwhelmingly OP they main it...and they say your class sucks....and this broken OP class is still OP since the beginning.
Dark Knight has be nerfed violently in the past, the reasons to play it as a first choice near Sorceress is that she is much easier to play but you need to know your combos.
Sorceress is the hardest class to play....with Guardian (she is OP but her slow speed exposes her to too many openings and insta grabs if you fail one important skill).
Does DK not have good iFrames? Seems like their dodges (shift) are similar. Is DK easier to get low-tier kills in PvP? Like, excluding extremely good PvPers, can DK still be competitive? I think I'll go Sorc, but I'm scared the skill ceiling will be too high for me. DK combo might be easier for me to learn. I'm not the best gamer, lol.
