A look into why people seem to Dislike BDO after playing it.
il admit this game is fun enough, played a fair bit of it and i cant say that i dont like the game but i cant say im really enjoying the game these days

(didn't buy it on steam since the friggen bootstrapper is always stealing about 2/10th's of my ram so that would make it difficult to play the game with all the extra lag)

at first glance the game is wonderful, the life skilling is quite indepth and enjoyable if your someone who does alot of resource farming

about 2 weeks later joined up with a guild and 50ish lvls later i started running into the unpleasant aspects of the game like the fact that you have absolutely 0 control over your attack setup and you have to conform to some other dingus's pre-set combo's, the only attacks you do have control of are specific skills that are quickslot enabled and then lone behold when you try to map something with a combo key like Ctrl + Q they dont allow that and same with the Alt key except they have that combo key already locked to this other hotkey interface that only allows you to map specific functions to alt + whatever

oh no and thats not the worst of it Guilds you know Guilds those things that players form in order to start a community of players and pool resources together, yea theres really no benefit to being in a guild the guild storage is locked to Guild Type Items only so you cant really pool any resources together other then items obtained from guild missions that are given to the guild leader, This game has guild stables yea and you can use elephants that you can tame... the only catch-22 is your guild master has to give you an allowance to buy anything elephant related including the item required to tame one... being in a guild is like being in grade 3 again so many rules and restrictions someone always gets left out when guild missions roll around teamwork is non-existant this has gotta be the first MMORPG iv played where guilds don't work together

the Mounts and Wagon UI is about as *facepalmy* as it gets so get this you can Craft/Buy a 4 horse wagon and attach 4 of your own horse's to it, sounds great right? well heres where it gets frustrating when using a wagon you can only see the gear on your wagon so if you want to equip your horses with any gear you have to have a stable with 5 spaces to disconnect each horse and 1 by 1 take out equip and put each horse back into the stable because your only allowed to take a single mount at any given time, now if you managed to deal with all that BS and get to the end of equipping all your horses with gear then connecting them back to your wagon here's the kick in the groin it doesn't matter what kind of horses your using or gear you have equipped the wagon only uses its own stats so you could have 4 T8 horses pulling your wagon and it wouldn't make a f♥♥♥ing difference.

now aren't you glad i saved you about 15million silver buying overpriced horse gear and 10 minutes of stable time equipping it

thats another thing theres only 1 useful type of currency... Silver, and its so inflated its almost stupid they really need to add a 2nd type of usable currency like idk just snowballing here maybe Gold Coins that are 1000 silver each and can be used to buy stuff from vendors unlike these useless f♥♥♥ing gold bars that you just end up converting to a large amount of usable silver anyways...

people who say this game is pay to win either have a shopping problem or are too lazy to put some effort in so they complain about wasting money after they got to the softcap level and realized how grindy the endgame really is

so to sum it up if this game had a better User Interface, Keybind system, and a more Team based guild setup it wouldn't be so cringe worthy

oh yea and Gold Coins so we can stop lugging around all this f♥♥♥ing silver...

I don't know about the guild system, sounds like you joined a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ guild from reading your comments.I agree about the currency needing a overall plus some of the prices some people sell things for is ridiculous but you get that in any mmo, also the people moaning about it being pay to win makes me laugh tbh. I have been playing a month or so and all i have bought is an explorer pack which came with a pet. I think the game is played not as a steam game because the explorer pack i got was £10 and on steam it is 4 times that.

I used to run a guild for 17 years, I will admit guilds went down hill since the 90's they aren't what they used to be, sure there are SOME good ones, but no where as good as back in the day..people are to selfish, they are selling ♥♥♥♥ to one another, we never did..and we ALWAYS played together, most people in a guild...also guilds build for numbers vs, quality... This is what is hurting ALL MMORPGs today...... I still like BDO, but I personally don't join guilds after I retired mine, after that many years, and I dont have the time anymore, but from what I seen, this is some of the reasons, that can hurt an MMO.

honestly i could deal with every other issue in the game if i atleast had the ability to setup my own LMB and RMB combo's.... having to conform to unchangable pre-set combo's is really the largest turning point that makes me so frustrated with the game that i don't wanna play it some days

I love the look of the game graphically and ability wise but the sheer lack of pve is what turned me off pretty quickly. If you don't want to pvp then there's nothing to do in the game. I'd rather not farm and fish etc just to get good gear since I won't have anything to do with it since there are no dungeons or raids.

One of the big issue with BDO combat is the lack of leeways to escape punishment from wrong moves.

When you look at Blades and Souls, if your character get CC'ed, you have at least 2 choices to get yourself our of the bad situation you put yourself in. Each of them have a different cool down time. This give players a second chance to redeem themselves, and make PvP combat more interesting.

In BDO, if you got pulled into a CC combo, sure, your opponent played a good one on you, but at that time, you're basically just a sitting duck and can only pray that your DP is good enough to absorb the blows until the CC end or when your opponent make a mistake. Just look at all the "skilled" videos on Youtube, it's basically one dude got caught in a combo and just sit there eating all the damages without anyway to get himself out.

That one button that people said " that's your "Oh ♥♥♥♥!" button" was intended to pull you out of the bad PvE situation, not PvP situation, hence the long cool down time.

i dont really dislike the game, just alway hope the game improve, but the game is not bad enough for me to really dislike ^_^

maybe it is because the other mmorpg dont give so sexy waifu with good gameplay, the map is big and not too much repetitive, the lifeskill is fine and not subscription is good for me ^_^

idk really it wouldnt matter to me left or right if they had this escape skill -.-' i barely use it and the only times i have used it have been by accident, having a skill like that diminishes actual combat skill, like i can understand it for magicasters because they use magic and its a magical skill, being a magic user you would want a few escape spells like blink and invisibility stuff that keeps you out of the path of damage and out of melee range

personally being a melee type user this quick escape skill is a joke

so many band-aid fixes like quickslot skills and disable skill function they just seem to avoid the root of the problem and thats the fact that not everyone wants to use these pre set combo's some people are going to want to change a few combos around to suit that way they would personally fight and some people will just want to completely customize their own attack inputs to make their own unique combo's

Best implemented system i had luck to see as a huge retired pvper competative and Lans i will tell you.Only system i had expirienced to play and test was:When you get CC - first time you get full load.Second 25% chance to fail - 3rd 50% and 4th 100% immunity total to CC.When long fights take place using CC ability constantly on you would get useless. And so far all games i played revolving arena PVP or World PVP where all spamm CC and stun lock a person.Making it boring PvP where all revolved around stun locking a person.Literally making his character shutting off.

I absolutely agree, the size of numbers is just ridiculous... played a few days and got about 30 million silver coins...

they should just take of 3 digits of the stuff which can be converted to silver coins and trade goods and stuff that can be sold to npcs...
