That lead doesn't replace worker, CP or energy which is done by completing the PVE part of the game which is a passive income & there's also the daily fame.
If two players start at the same time and 1 goes full p2w and the other buys nothing and those two duel for a spot the kid who has paid for either costumes to sell or artisans will destroy the player who hasnt bought anything otherwise pay to win because the kid who pays wins
AHAHHAHAH ok .BTW ,any one willing ,to start a new acc, fork 5 000€ ,and stream for us the P2W ,making 13 BiS PENs without any effort what so ever?Right of the bat ,i am really curious to see how that happens.
TL:DR
Winning = META. Caphras on PEN gear = META. Caphras cant be purchased from IRL MONEY SHOP. >>> LEARN GAME MECHANICS... <<< TAKE THIS STATEMENT WITH YOU TO WHATEVER NEW GAMING COMMUNITY YOU WILL INFECT PEASANTS
You realize it takes 15 thousand caphra stones for a pen right? that would take over a year of grinding to get a pen lmao
Yet slowly as you progress, you begin to realize how horribly this is set-up, and it makes you panic to say the least. Everything you do, or almost everything, is shaped out in such a form that if you are not willing or unable to spend money, your way through will simply be an agonizing, un-fun grind for a final experience that leaves a lot to desire, with PvE being mostly senseless grinding and pretty much nothing more due to such a huge lack of content.
Lifeskilling can be fun. A mess to get into from a beginner's point of view, a complete mess in fact, that tends to draw you back, but worst comes when you painfully realize once more that even lifeskilling is heavily capped if you are not willing to swipe your credit card.
Fine, you might think. I'll drop some twenty bucks, maybe once a month if I really like the game, and I'll be fine.
No.
Without realizing, you'll end spending way more, only to then realize you've yet to pay much, much more, and continously so, forever on.
I would be fine if it was mostly cosmetic stuff. Hell, I know I'd drop top money on that, and so would almost everyone if the game was worth it, despite it giving no real bonuses. Some games do this wonderfully fine, like DotA 2, where absolutely NONE of the stuff you can buy with real money gives any real advantage over the rest of the players. It is purely, completely cosmetic, and yet you'll find almost literally everyone dropping more money on it than people would ever spend on this.
Why? Because it doesn't feel like a cash-grab. It doesn't feel they're pointing at you with a gun, giving you the feeling of being unable to progress at a normal rate with the rest of players without spending money. That, precisely, is what turns so many people away, specially new players. Not the grind, not the little costumes, not lifeskilling or having to leave the computer on 24/7. Those aren't great, but they don't feel insulting like the pearl shop and the whole game being designed around a need for it does.
And to be very much honest, at this moment I doubt there's a going back. The game's been designed like this. It'll be its end, whether that's sooner or later, one year or five. It's sad, for this game could've become much more, and because they could've earned MUCH more if greed hadn't clouded their minds.
The days of abusing videogame customers is long over and companies don't seem to realize. This isn't a worthy business when you could make much more by being fair to the customers and at the same time make their whole experience much, much better.
LOL........Speechless ,but then again the game is better of without you,and people like you who are clueless....
Yes because im the clueless one for knowing how long your "meta" mechanic will take lmao you can message me in a year whenever you get a pen with caphras stones i suggest grinding kama you can make a whole 30 in like 70 hours of grinding
Never used to be like this 5-10 years ago when the gaming industry was not obsessed with the other industries pursuit of wealth through shady products and games were actually created for people to enjoy without even having to consider an advantage based on your class.
Today the world has become very much Capitalist concentrating on consumerism and gone is the customer satifaction or customer is always right mentality. Don't expect this game to change unless you personally change it and the only way to do that is to stop buying or spending in it.
See what happened to BattleFront 2 and Shadow of War? Within 6-8 months they had to remove lootboxes and rng pay2win mechanics from their games because their stock was plummeting and the last thing shareholders want is a fall in profits.
Speak with your wallets because it's clear the Publishers and maybe even the Devs behind BDO are not listening.
... You dont comprehend what im saying... You aren't MAKING a PEN with the caphras... You are increasing the CAPHRA LEVEL of the PEN. There are stat increases for every level of Caphra level you have on gear... ALSO no not a year to hit level 20, unless you are lazy / don't understand how to farm. Thats not P2W... It's hardcore grinding to win.
Maybe if you and every other casual read patch notes and could comprehend game mechanics... you wouldn't be so terrible.
Said it already in another thread, they simply introduced Pay 2 darWin. Another effective way to fleece their whales.
THEY are the only ones that should be crying and moaning about it, but I guess they are.
