7 day trial challenge
Hi, everyone!

I was interested in this game for a while now and I'm thinking about trying it now because I've heard about this 7 day trial challenge. (https://www.blackdesertonline.com/news/view/1888)

If you level your character up to level 56 and complete the "Awakening" quest during your 7 day free trial version, you get this game for free.

I'd like to hear your opinion on this! :D

- is the game worth a shot?
I've seen many negative reviews stating that this game is P2W and this seems to be the main reason why players who invested over a thousand hours in this game simply quit.

-graphics, combat
People also say that this game has one of the best graphics and combat system compared to other MMO RPG games.

And, most importantly, is this game fun? Is it worth playing with your friends? Is the game worth your time?

I smell a cash grab here, for weight limits, value packs and outfit melting.

There is a lot to know and to do in this game but it all takes time. Growing carrots, taming horses, building a boat, a wagon, grinding, boss gear... AND SO MUCH MORE YOU DONT WANT TO KNOW. You are looking at something that will last you for a year or more... unless you get bored with grinding. With friends everything is better though. ;)

Graphics - for an mmo it's great. Just look at the screenshots. BUT you need a top tier PC to enjoy the new 'remaster'.

Combat - can be very dynamic or moderately dynamic depending on class but always showy. As for difficulty... that depends on you. If you gear up fast everything will be easy, if you don't, it will be harder. Just pick a class that feels best for you and don't go with with stats - those change as devs have proven lately - and have fun!

PVP NOT WITHOUT BOSS GEAR.

Read the other recent threads on this same topic to get a better understanding, but this game has turned into a blatant cash grab. That being said, a new player can still enjoy the early progression. My suggestion would be to enjoy your 7 day trial and leave it at that.

For context, I was a casual player of 2 years with endgame gear who did just about everything the game has to offer. I quit after drastic p2w changes (remastered graphics dropped at the same time because that's how these devs twerk it). My bf as well but he still hops into RBF from time to time. We enjoyed the PVP/combat system (before and after the devs destroyed both of those separately) and AFK'd on this game when we weren't playing it. There is also no endgame PVE content unfortunately, only stronger mobs to grind.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I was kinda hoping grinding those levels would be easier...
I'll definitely try the game out! :D
