That's alright, with not being tech savvy. : )

Do you know how to access your 'Documents' folder? You know, where you save your files? There should be a folder named 'Black Desert' in there. So delete that folder.

Click on your C:\ drive.
Click on the folder 'Users' (you should now see your name folder)
Click on your named folder.
Click on the Documents folder. (you should see the Black Desert folder)
Right-click the mouse button on the Black Desert folder and select DELETE to delete it.

Then restart your PC and start the Black Desert game as normal.

huh... so i go: This PC > OS(C:) > Users.. but there are only two files, PC and Public..

Click on 'PC' then, and you should see the Documents folder. : ) Then right-click on the 'Black Desert' folder and select Delete.

Yes, delete the whole thing. Copy the Customization folder as well, if you wish to use it in the future.

Have you deleted THAT particular folder before? I'm a bit confused. Or did you delete the entire game before?

Just a black screen? No error messages?

Install "Display Driver Uninstaller" from the link below:

https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu-v17082-released

Run it ONLY in Safe Mode to wipe your registry clean from old conflicting registries. Then simply reinstall your latest GPU drivers, preferably from your GPU maker's website.

The above is good to perform regardless or errors or not. But it's also able to fix some issues with BDO not starting. : )

would like the rig used to be detailed. the op says he's not tech savvy and from his profile he only has a few games, that all can run on toasters except maybe cs:go. i don't know how the game saves its user configurations, but perhaps op enabled stuffs in the options that their machine can't handle and now it can't even the launch either and thus the options can't be changed from in-game. if that's the issue, tweaking the config files or deleting them to be regenerated to default on a file check from steam could be solutions
ugh i just want to play tbh...

Go to Settings in your window > System > Display > Resolution > Change resolution to lowest possible.

Start up BDO
