please help..

i have had BDO for a couple weeks. and have roughly 24 hours on it..yesterday the game stopped working it would come up with not responsive when i would open it..spending hour on trying to fix it yester day i ended up giving up roguhly around 3 am. this morning i tried to get on and omg it worked.. after playing for a while i got of not confident i would be able to open the game again, and low and behold my gut was right now im compleatly almost upset that i cant get back in.. please help me..

There was a small patch released lastnight so maybe that somehow made it work for that instance, but anyway, try deleting your Black Desert folder in your Documents folder.

C: > Users > [your username] > Documents > Black Desert

Nope.

But make copies of the 'Customization', 'FaceTexture' and 'Screenshot' folders if you wish to retain your character customization files (cosmetic only, won't affect how your characters look, as the current look is saved on their servers), profile pic and screencaptures, respectively.

It retains everything else on their servers. So it's safe - the developers even encourage you to delete this usercache folder from time to time.

Restart your PC first. Then simply start BDO as you've always been doing, prior to your errors. : )

Don't thank me yet, you're too kind, let's just hope it works. This game can be tricky to problem solve when it comes to issues -- but I am hoping for the best. : )

so, i did what you told me to and just finished downloading bdo... i still cant get the game to load and now im missing a bunch of files..

What do you mean you're missing a 'bunch' of files when you've just downloaded the game again? You shouldn't need to re-download the game again, as you were meant to only delete the usercache files, not the entire game library folder.

Also, what errors are you getting now? What does it say when you can't get into the game?

oof.. well, biggest problem is that there is no error code, it just doesnt respond

the only files i have now are dump, facetexture copy, usar cache, and game option

ok i restored everything i deleted, so whatdo you want me to delete im not super amazing with tec as you can probubly tell. So can you please be very specific on which files i need to get rid of..??

That's alright, with not being tech savvy. : )

Do you know how to access your 'Documents' folder? You know, where you save your files? There should be a folder named 'Black Desert' in there. So delete that folder.

Click on your C:\ drive.
Click on the folder 'Users' (you should now see your name folder)
Click on your named folder.
Click on the Documents folder. (you should see the Black Desert folder)
Right-click the mouse button on the Black Desert folder and select DELETE to delete it.

Then restart your PC and start the Black Desert game as normal.
