Guild employment contract?
I accepted a guild employment contract from a stranger and I don't know what to do now. There were no specific tasks listed in the contract, mainly what the pay was and what happens if either of us terminates the contract before the time is up. I can't really find anything in the menus or on google, I'd be greatful for any help :)

What kind of information are you looking for? Usually the guildmaster will instruct you with a specific set of things to do if he/she wants you doing anything at all. If someone sent you a contract without any prior speaking too, I'd consider this free money and login rewards. You can leave at anytime you don't want to be in it. (Though be careful of the early termination fee, it's not too bad though).

How would I see those instructions? Will it show up as a mail, a quest or something else?
Is the contract bound to the character or the family name? (as in can i switch character and still do the task)
Is having an employment contract not the same as being in a guild?
Can you see a list of employment contracts somewhere in the menu?
As you might be able to tell I'm new lol.

Those instructions are usually given to you by the individual themselves. (Through Chat.)

I'm not entirely sure if each character you make needs to be invited or not (I only have one right now), but I do believe it's bound to the family name (I could be wrong). You can leave the contract any time you want.

It's the same as being in the guild. It's really just a way of paying those individuals that are on more and incentivises daily logins. You get raises based on the terms of your contract.

If you press G and look at the list of players in the guild, there will be a checkmark to the right of all the names that you can click on and read each contract.

No problem. Feel free to make another post any time you have questions. I'm still a beginner at the game so there are individuals with far greater experience than me that can answer your questions should you have any issues.

Accepting an employment contract is the same as accepting a guild invitation in any other game, you are now part of the guild.

Here's a guide to how guilds work and what activities can be performed as a guild:
http://www.blackdesertfoundry.com/guilds-guide/

What sets guilds apart in BDO is that you have a daily pay you can collect.
As you perform guild activities (mainly the daily guild quests) you get more activity points.
Based on your activity point you can then receive more daily pay when your contract is renewed.
Activity maxes out at +10000 activity points per contract. Each 10 activity points gives 1% more max raise, for a max total of 100% pay increase. The actual pay increase is up to the discretion of the guild master and officers though.

If the guild wants to kick you or you want to leave before the contract is up there is a penalty fee that needs to be paid.
The fee is equal to 1000 silver per day, so a standard 30 day contract incurs a penalty of 30k silver.
30 day contract starts at 15k silver per day.

For example the way we do it is that we have payment tiers based on your total activity. If you have enough activity, we will increase your pay up to 2 million silver a day. Decent size guilds usually run between 2 and 5 million a day.

The main purpose behind guild activities, like guild bosses and guild missions, is to get more funds in the guild bank, which are then used to pay the members.

Go ahead and ask if you have any specific questions.

Thank you for a very thorough reply, I've also bookmarked the guide :)
