Horse Experience and Training Level.
Heyo, I have been searching and searching for some newer updated info on horse training experience and the difference that the Training level gives you when training your horses.

I have also been wondering exactly the amount of experience each horse gets when training them on a wagon compared to singley. Yes i know single horse training is faster but if i want to level more than just one, i have a merchant wagon and was wondering if each horse gets 25% of the exp to make 100% or if its simple broken up differently.

And finally, i would also like to know if the training level of my character increases the likeliness to gain more skills on a horse.

If anyone could give me some feedback that would be helpful in answering these questions i have it would be greatly appreciated! I love breeeding horses and training them afk as well as training them sometimes manually to finish off their final levels! Thanks in advance for the comments <3

leveling 4 horses in wagon is almost 2 times faster than leveling 1 at a time, heres an old thread about that https://www.reddit.com/r/blackdesertonline/comments/4hue9z/horse_training_xp_breakdown_wagon_solo/ (theres no new info because horse training hasnt been updated in ages so nothing has changed since then)
horses get exp based on the distance traveled so having gear that increase their speed (horseshoe or wagon wheel) can significantly increase the exp that they get per hour, also at least a +2 silver embroidered trainer clothes and the p2w trainer outfit will make leveling horses waaay faster.
Training lvl does nothing, theres no exp increase or anything like that, theres some speculations that it helps with breeding but theres no real proof and after all is rng, i got 2 t8 horses before getting to professional trainer and now as a professional8 i havent got a single t8

oh my well that sucks :( i wish training were useful to level up, why have it in the game if it does nothing but stare us in the face and mock us >.<
Thank you for the comment though! Im glad it was seen. Hopefully they change some things about horse training because it seems to be neglected and i really think it could be an awesome thing to incorporate once they get their ideas straight i hope soon they patch in some notes about Traning level and what it really does. We need answers!

The test is not really reliable since T3 horses do have relatively slow speed. Since distance pretty much sums up your xp gains and higher breed T5+ tends to have higher base speed.

In my experience training horses (T5s and above), I just normally take them out of the wagon phase at lvl 20 where there speed is significantly higher with their base lvls.

Compare to other afk lifeskills training lacks behind on actual progression. So in the long run you might lose a lot of silver compare to processing/trading where their values tend to go up due to consistent procs & bonuses. It is also rng related. I never got an actual T8 corser from it, bought 2 of them in horse marketplace.

a lvl 1 t7 only has like 10% more base speed than a lvl 1 t3, so if a t3 gets 114k exp per hour a t7 would get 125k exp per hour, so whats the bigger number 237k or 125k?
even with high lvl or tier leveling 4 horses on a wagon will always be faster than one at a time.

1. Traning only affects how quickly a horsse your riding masters skills that are not 100%. Does not affect XP

2. If you want all 4 horses, wagon is better. Just make sure you get best speed boost available (wheel/shoes, maybe outfit), and if training one at a time, a good saddle (extra stam for less carrots.

3. I would probably avoid the peal shop outfit, instead going for the tailord skill coupon outfit you can get at skilled 10 training.
Venia riding outfit = 20 % mount XP
Tailored rding outfit = 15% mount XP, 15% horse skill XP, 10% training XP, 15% horse capture rate

How fast is a t7 lvl 20 compare to base wagon speed? I compared T3 to the Wagon speed which were he got his numbers from. Didnt compare lvl 1 t7 to lvl 1 t3.

The T7 I'm currently leveling is level 18 and has a naked speed of 130.7

Interesting! The base is 100 for wagons, isn't it? My t7 lvl 23 non stalion is 139.4. I will test this once the server is back to normal and not desyncing. Maybe I'm losing out and not doing this optimally, then again exchanging horses and the male/female breeds you might need to work on invidiual horses most of the time.

Actually, since you can put 4 horses on a merchant wagon, I usually put 1 male and 2 females and then either add the male from the next breeding set I'm planning, or a low tier horse I'm planning on Imperial Trading.

I don't know if the 100% base on the wagon is the same as 100% horse speed, but I find the wagon to be the easiest way to level breeding groups.

I wish the test data also included Noble wagons. It would be good to prove / disprove any horse training difference between the Merchant wagon and the Noble wagon.

We know Noble wagons move slower than Merchant wagons and are more expensive to repair but I wouldn't be surprised if Noble wagons had the hidden benefit of better horse training.

Nothing has be changed except the amount of unfixed bugs and unrelated AFK task interupting ongoings. Such as random reloads, game crashes, and random server disconnections.

Yeah I know, don't mind me. I'm all about technacalities and unrelated things that can have an affect on other things.

Training level affects the xp gain of your horse and taming rate as now shown when you hover over the lifeskill in the information window. It doesn't increase the chance for your horse to learn skills though.

Wagon base speed is not the same as the horse base speed either, they will all be normalized.

Hi Alnilam, fancy meeting you here :3
