horses get exp based on the distance traveled so having gear that increase their speed (horseshoe or wagon wheel) can significantly increase the exp that they get per hour, also at least a +2 silver embroidered trainer clothes and the p2w trainer outfit will make leveling horses waaay faster.
Training lvl does nothing, theres no exp increase or anything like that, theres some speculations that it helps with breeding but theres no real proof and after all is rng, i got 2 t8 horses before getting to professional trainer and now as a professional8 i havent got a single t8
Thank you for the comment though! Im glad it was seen. Hopefully they change some things about horse training because it seems to be neglected and i really think it could be an awesome thing to incorporate once they get their ideas straight i hope soon they patch in some notes about Traning level and what it really does. We need answers!
In my experience training horses (T5s and above), I just normally take them out of the wagon phase at lvl 20 where there speed is significantly higher with their base lvls.
Compare to other afk lifeskills training lacks behind on actual progression. So in the long run you might lose a lot of silver compare to processing/trading where their values tend to go up due to consistent procs & bonuses. It is also rng related. I never got an actual T8 corser from it, bought 2 of them in horse marketplace.
even with high lvl or tier leveling 4 horses on a wagon will always be faster than one at a time.
2. If you want all 4 horses, wagon is better. Just make sure you get best speed boost available (wheel/shoes, maybe outfit), and if training one at a time, a good saddle (extra stam for less carrots.
3. I would probably avoid the peal shop outfit, instead going for the tailord skill coupon outfit you can get at skilled 10 training.
Venia riding outfit = 20 % mount XP
Tailored rding outfit = 15% mount XP, 15% horse skill XP, 10% training XP, 15% horse capture rate
How fast is a t7 lvl 20 compare to base wagon speed? I compared T3 to the Wagon speed which were he got his numbers from. Didnt compare lvl 1 t7 to lvl 1 t3.
Interesting! The base is 100 for wagons, isn't it? My t7 lvl 23 non stalion is 139.4. I will test this once the server is back to normal and not desyncing. Maybe I'm losing out and not doing this optimally, then again exchanging horses and the male/female breeds you might need to work on invidiual horses most of the time.
Actually, since you can put 4 horses on a merchant wagon, I usually put 1 male and 2 females and then either add the male from the next breeding set I'm planning, or a low tier horse I'm planning on Imperial Trading.
I don't know if the 100% base on the wagon is the same as 100% horse speed, but I find the wagon to be the easiest way to level breeding groups.
I wish the test data also included Noble wagons. It would be good to prove / disprove any horse training difference between the Merchant wagon and the Noble wagon.
We know Noble wagons move slower than Merchant wagons and are more expensive to repair but I wouldn't be surprised if Noble wagons had the hidden benefit of better horse training.
bug fixing is a complete different
Training level affects the xp gain of your horse and taming rate as now shown when you hover over the lifeskill in the information window. It doesn't increase the chance for your horse to learn skills though.
Wagon base speed is not the same as the horse base speed either, they will all be normalized.
Hi Alnilam, fancy meeting you here :3
