So i am thinking of trying this game but i am wondering if i should get one of the travelers pack or just buy the few recommended things from the shop.

Packages are great. I bought both. I tried the game out for free for the first 14 days or so.

I highly recommend the travelers pack(29.99 USD) as you do save money.

Inventory slots, Value Pack, Pet and even blessings are nice to have.

i highly recommend you to first try the game before u jump into buying the packs give it a few days and then consider if you like it or not and if its worth to buy the pack

I agree to these advices. The pet, value packs, permanent flute, inventory slots and blessings weight a lot in the long run and are cheap in this package. The horse and silver crafting clothes are neat but pretty easy actually to get anyway in-game with little in-game money.

Just decide carefully on which character you use the items since most are character bound, not account/family bound :) For example the flute & inventory slots go for one character only.

Buy the core game now and play, wait for sales on the pack upgrades.
You can only buy them once and on sale they are super value for money.

Right now newbies get great stuff for free, also better buy pearls now to use the free coupons you get as a beginner.
Believe me you WILL kick your own a$$ for not using them.

Kakao extended the validity of those coupons JUST this patch.

So far i dont think i need any of the packages, with base game ive been getting alot of free stuff already and 2 pets 1 from attendance and other from event going on. I may just buy a bunch of pearls and get two more pets and some wheight and inventory. What do you all think?

You'll get four pets when you reach various milestones throughout the main story (See the suggested tab in your quest window for more information under "[ADV Support] Pets, Loyal Companions"). Add to that attendance pets you receive every now and then, and a pet you'll get from guild daily rewards (if/when you join a guild and it's available) and you should have enough to keep you out of trouble for a good while.

Weight can be very handy yes, if you're sticking with that character and confident they'll be your 'main'. The seem to come on sale quite often, so I'd wait for those times before purchasing - there are a couple of options on sale right now for example.

Inventory purchases I guess aren't really needed quite so much these days - what with all the extra inventory expansion rewards we receive now from the main quest line. A major caveat however is that if you ever plan on afk fishing or any other activity that classically requires a lot of inventory space (like herb gathering). Again, any major purchases I'd wait until a sale, or at the very least you have a discount coupon.

Master pack half off is 10$ american. You get 1k pearls with that a classic box which has the new corsair outfit, a 4 inventory slot, a polar bear pet a 15 day value pack and a 20% off coupon. Usually you can get 1k pearls for 10$ so everything else is just gravy, master pack only on sale during the summer sale so don't cry when it goes back to 20$. I was planning on buying 1k pearls to get some extra sailors and i found this instead so i am happy with it.

So I bought the legendary package for 39.99 after already owning the game for a long time. I just may be not seeing it but how do I get my ACOIN,items, and stuff? Some one please help thanks.

If you got it from steam, hit the esc key in game then go to redeem menu, not the coupon menu the redeem menu. It should be in there. It'll send it to your in game mail and you'll see the box in there.
