I myself got the Imperial Edition and later Morrowind, never both any DLC extra, played about 700 hours and did not even played the free DLC that I got from the Imperial Edition.
If you buy the Summerset Edition now you get the base game + Morrowind + Summerset.
(I also think they will go with the prizes down when Summerset launches)
If you would like to be on every raid then maybe you need the dlc, but if you just want to play and explore, then no. If you really need the sets you can buy the most of them because even if you don't have a dlc people with that dlc sell the drops. (There were some sets that can not be sold you have to get them by youself and when you pick them up they were bounded, but the rest no).
About every 4 month there were events for free eso+ that means during this times you can play all the dlcs for free.
I prefer ESO because the classes were better, you like to play a mage with full plate mail and dual axes, you can.
Of course the charater creation (optical) is much better on BDO, but I usually look at the game surround me and not at the body of my toon.
BDO has the better crafting game, you can play only this and still have fun, the crafting in ESO is more functional, no extras, besides the housing.
In ESO if you don't want to play PvP you don't have to. There is the Open world area for PvP and the PartyvsPartyvsParty in the Battlegrounds (Morrowind).
Also so what I found out BDO has the most updates that noone asked for.
And ESO ist the best improved MMO game (some people would say if this is the imporved version, how bad was it at the start)
Both companies wants your money, this is how it works.
BDO is no park as there is no theme, or rather a VERY well hidden one.
The fight engine is best I ever encountered and is still capturing me here.
Though when you cannot deal with the unique way of gameplay here, you better run fast.
PvP. ESO. As of today BDO is completely gear based. Two or three patches ago a less geared skilled player had a chance against a over geared toon. That isn't the case anymore. Nearly every ability as some sort of CC component to it. Which means the game devolves in to a CC spam fest of which the only apparent defense is having better gear. You will die most often to being CC'd and AoE down.
ESO has way more PvP content variety. Things to fight for. BDO is so gear based that PvP isn't an open field where you can hope to complete.
Content/PvE. ESO has way more content...and it is open from level one because almost all of the content with the exception of end game is scaled to your level.
Alt Support. I would almost say its a tie here because BDO allows you to share a lot of gear between classes. So you aren't having to regear. But ESO allows you to carry some of your progression. While you still have to grind you levels up it isn't a bad grind. not nearly as bad as BDO. All in All I would say ESO takes it because end game gear is easier to come by. Meaning you don't have to dismantle one character to kit out another character like on BDO.
Classes. ESO. The classes for the most part are balanced. There area few exceptions where one class might excel in a specific aspect of the game. The classes in PvP can fill all roles...some better than others but they can all tank, heal, dps to differant degrees.
Overall ESO offers a more well rounded experiance. Where as the BDO just alienated a majority of thier player base.
BDO has no PvE game. It is there to support PvP. And PvP is for the elite who have money and time to spend.
even in black desert with my witch i see tab target when i shoot monsters with her basic attack, instead to shoot the monster i target, she shoot to another monster, because it is closer to me, i never have this problem in tera
in pvp is mean player doesnt need to target you, he just need to look at you and spam his shoot and off course you cant dodge it in zig zag move
try to do that in tera and i can say than the melee opponant has just need to move in zig zag against the ranger player
