Lack of memory since maintenance
So i just came back home trying to start BDO, aware of the fact there was a maintenance today..
When i choose a character and try to log in on any server i my ram goes up to almost 100% and crashes my game with the message "client will be terminated due to lack of memory )

I never had this problem before, and also i couldnt find any suggestions on google that helped.
Many say that often happens to chrome users, but closing it down didnt help at all.

some specs :

i7-4770k @3.50Ghz, 3500Mhz
geforce gtx 970
16gb ram

any ideas what could cause this ? halp

Hi there, this error is often related to the Pagefile Size Management of virtual memory, and even at times due to usercache and the game's cache files being corrupt. Also, at times, a simple reboot of your PC will sometimes address this issue as well.

So let's get on with the first fix on setting the Pagefile Size Management to allow Windows to manage it automatically.

Set your Windows Virtual Memory to allow Windows to automatically manage them, if it isn't set to that preference.

Right-click 'This PC' on your Desktop > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Advanced > Performance > Advanced > Virtual Memory > Change > Check the box 'Automatically manage paging file size for all drives'.

=====

The second fix is to delete your usercache and the game's Cache folders. Also set your game to run in Admin mode, as well as clearing your Steam's Download Cache, as this can also cause errors.

1 ) Run the game with Admin priveleges.

C:\Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Black Desert Online > bin64 > BlackDesert64.exe <-- right-click > Properties > Compatibility > Run this program as an Administrator

2) Delete your 'usercache' folder and the game's 'Cache' folder.

Delete the 'usercache' folder titled 'Black Desert' located in your Documents folder.
C:\Local Drive > Users > (your username) > Documents > Black Desert

Also delete the 'Cache' folder in the game's directory as well.
C:\ > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > Common > Black Desert Online > Cache

3) Clear your Steam Download Cache by right-clicking the Steam client in the Taskbar > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache.

All the best, my friend. :lovebs: Fingers crossed one, or a combination of those will address the issue you're having!
