you know you can just grind them right? Or if you complain about "high" prices then know what once you level up it will be nothing to you, you will make milions per hour and get few extra daily from the game just for logging in
It's ok if there are over 2k pre-orders with MAX price? ROFL...
It might not be you personally but I think the game has taught you to think like that
Thanks, think I got what I came for.
If the game allowed market to go beyond max price then you would see those items traded normally but with 10 or maybe even 100 times the price you see.
You make it sound like those are some super must have items but nobody can get them, no its not like that.
I do agree tho, this game can at times blocks progression, or can be really poorly labeled as to your different options of progression.
And why would someone that whales sell a 30-day value pack: the real-world cost of a value pack significantly outweighs the silver gained from the in-game market.
I started playing bdo one week ago and never experienced any progression problems.
And nah, im not whaling, just bought the game + 2 pets. Still reached softcap without any problem
"I started playing bdo one week ago....Still reached softcap without any problem" Somethings ♥♥♥♥♥!
I agree with you that progress is extremely slow in BDO - especially if you have never bought any "time saver" from the Pearl Shop.
Slow progress does not equal "blocked".
===============================
Value Packs (VP):
VP's are a time saver. There are 1 Day VP's found in the Loyalty Shop. It takes a long time earn VP's in-game. I prefer to get mine from the marketplace. Get VP's even faster by cracking open your wallet in the Pearl Shop.
Pets:
Again - a time saver. We earn those very slowly. There are no Loyalty Shop options for pets. Get em off the marketplace or crack open your wallet to get them sooner.
The game taught him to think that way? He spoke facts. Supply and Demand are facts.
Grind for em. This isn't reality - the BDO world doesn't run empty on Urugons, Sharps and Hards.
It's ok if you don't like the grind, bro. This might not be a fun game for you -- no need to mock others for stating facts that you don't like.
OP said he can grind in his initial post
"I don't mind grinding for long hours"
"I don't mind grinding and spamming the same quest/objective "
"I don't mind RNG and casino-like BS"
That's why I told him he can grind. Supply is low for that item because of the low max price the market set in, if I could get let's say 5mln per hard black crystal shard I would sell my shards no problem, but since the market caps it at 1.6mln it is not worth it, I rather have a shard rather than 1.6mln extra
If you must blame someone blame BDO team for capping market prices rather than allowing people to set their price to whatever they want (why I can't sell potatoes for 10mln each :C)
But the game certainly don't have any supply problems, if OP really needs those or other shards he can grind for them and it is not some super hard WoW grind with 0.001% drop rate for completing a dungeon.
If supply/demand is so misconstrued as its displayed in the image, then they need to fix that. Its broken. There is no denying you cant get those in quests. But that is not the point of this post, Op is not obtaining these through quests or RnG. This is about a separate feature that BDO offers that does not live up to expectation. RnG is fine- quests are fine. Separate things - so your rationalization to having a pre order of VP sit for 3 months is that "You can grind it or get it in quests"? Its nice that they offer that-sure. But that doesnt fix the underlined issue with the supply/demand of this marketplace.
Als, OP strictly mentioned the supply/demand of said items and the overall functionality/operational point of the MP. What is the point of the marketplace if you have to wait 3 months to get a VP? Maybe they should fend off the current demand and strategize with cost implementations that better suits the publics needs because clearly they are doing something wrong. The fact is that the marketplace is not operating to the satisfaction of the customer base and Bottom Line: they are losing people because of stuff like this.
Not sure about you guys, but pretty sure most of us dont have the time to grind out 16 extra bank slots in EVERY CITY, or 16 invent slots,(Not to mention all the other bonuses) these things are pretty much required to grind out and make $$ at higher levels- and im talking like end game. Sure, your first 1k hours will have plentiful space. But once you actually start grinding for real in regards to LS, and have surpassed roughly 1k hours of gameplay, have a worker army, Gather, process, alchemy, Fish, and own a house? its not very practical to NOT have the VP. Or you can just waste your CP on storage in houses which is also counter-intuitive. Ive have my VP on pre-order for 2 months straight going on 3 now.
Or hey, lets just pay $30 per month for the VP cause that makes sense? And you know how they make sure of that? They bracket the pearls at 1000,2000,3000 and so on and so forth. a VP is 1500. Therefore you are forced to buy the $20. Then exchange(if ur no in the USA) plus taxes your looking at 25-30+. Im in Canada and pay $28.
So no. Im not going to pay $28 to get extra invent slots so that I can grind.
Anyone who mentions quests or other ways to obtain this didnt quite understand OP'S point of the post.
Further, Probably not a good idea comparing bdo to things like WOW - your entering a whole new playing field. This has absolutely nothing to do with the BDO marketplace and an entire mmorpg cannot be morphed into a comparison to a feature that another mmorpg offers.
Lastly, sorry, but if youve been playing for 1 week then you have absolutely no say in this matter because you have not much of an idea what its actually like. In a year when you can provide valuable insight and have knowledge to share instead of basing your entire experience off of just one week. Know what i mean?
