What's the difference between Outfits and Costumes in the Pearl Shop?
I'm guessing that outfits apply a skin over your existing armor, and costumes are worn instead of your armor? Or do they both act as skins for your existing armor?

It's hard finding information on this since people seem to use the terms interchangeably.

Outfit is usually has a different effect than costume e.g better fishing, breathe under water, hide your name tag instead of generic durability loss reduction and +Xp of costume. AFAIK all costume set end up giving same buff while each outfit has different unique buff.

Both are worn OVER armour.

If I remember reading it, Outfits are also class specific while Costumes are account bound (all classes can use them).

Both are worn over armor.
Outfits are mostly cosmetic with a few benefits such as -10% death penalty, less durability loss, etc. These are class specific.
Costumes are things that help with lifeskilling and are ALSO class specific. If you want a maid outfit on one character, you can NOT use it on another.

...costumes are 'utility suits', for example fishing suit can +1 fishing, diving suit can dive long...or that cooking dress can reduce your cooking time. Outfit only enhance your exp and vision stuff, that's the only difference
