If that's turned on, you should be able to see it
I have tried turning off geforce overlay and added game exe as non steam game and it' still not working.
1) Running the game with the BDO.bat file?
https://blackdesert.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003438585-Black-Desert-Online-Steam-Launcher-has-stopped-working
2) Delete the usercache folder titled 'Black Desert' located in your Documents folder.
C:\Local Drive > Users > (your username) > Documents > Black Desert
3) Also delete the 'Cache' folder in the game's directory as well.
C:\ > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > Common > Black Desert Online > Cache
4) Clear Steam Download Cache.
Right-click Steam icon in tray > Settings > Downloads > Clear Download Cache
5) Make sure Skype and it's background applications are NOT running but disabled.
6) Repair your Steam Library Folder (or the folder where the game is located).
Right click the Steam Client in taskbar and select Settings --> Downloads --> click on 'Steam Library Folders' tab --> right click the directory where the game's located --> select 'Repair Library Folder'.
This may take a while, depending on your game collection, be wary that downloaded cache for games that are still downloading will be deleted, so either complete the downloads before repairing your game library folder. This is why I left this last.
I hope this helps. All the best!
Thanks for trying to help anyways.
You have Windows 10 or 8? Might need to refresh Windows then, while keeping most of your programs. Instead of doing a complete uninstall/reinstall.
I've been searching the internet for a few days now trying to figure out why my Steam Overlay wasn't working in Black Desert Online, trying every suggestion many offered, including a few YouTubes.... You were the first to mention that FRAPS may be causing the problem. I turned it off and it worked. Thank you so much :)
seriously..took me weeks to figure this out as couldnt understand why. If this will start to work...done all i could do games and files 10s of times..and all it was to disable fraps xD
