Avast detecting files are virus
So i thought i might give this game another go cause i played it for like 1 night then uninstalled cause i wasnt that overly impressed with it... so i just tried to install and avast put libcef.dll and choerentUI_host.exe in my virus chest.. does anyone know if this is a false postive or if there is some sort of issue? cause i first downloaded this via steam when it first came out on steam and it was fine now it is throwing virus warnings at me

Avast is known to spit out false positives a lot so it's hard to say for sure.

That's why I check files through this website:
www.virustotal.com

This runs several antivirus engines and usually when there is too much detections then I would start to worry if I got virus.

But otherwise I doubt it, it's most likely false positive.

Avast is probably fighting with XIGNCODE, which is the anti-cheat. Xigncode is known to do this to most anti-virus software, so you just need to whitelist it.

EDIT: Ahhh, coherent UI is what's giving you the flag... huh. It's most likely a false positive, though.

Coherent UI is a third party application they use. They can't fix the issues with it. It's honestly just a false positive with Avast, as Malwarebytes has never flagged it for me nor my husband.

Usually people just whitelist it (it might be called differently on avast) and move on with playing game.

A hacker is NOT going to be too bothered with infecting a "choerentUI_host.exe" file just to rope in a few thousand 'potential' victims to violate, when they would rather go for the huge instalment base of millions and millions of Windows users instead.

Using Windows and Android devices presents the user with a much, much bigger risk with a security violation than simply playing this game.

Think about it. Seriously.... You're being needlessly paranoid.

coherent UI - A modern user interface library for game (32bit)
((i wanted to know what this was a few months ago - seeing it in processes))
HTML content , alot of the popup windows from the ESC menu uses it. as default u have 3 always running in processes then it will add another for each of the new window/s,,,
why its a paranoid file - it reads what your typeing on keyboard+Mouse (input interaction), its how a game engine communicates with web based HTML content - vise versa.

So its a false-pos , could be your DL was a little corrupt - just a file signature mismatch can send avast nuts ...

Somthing to keep in mind about avast....
Cookie given to you by amazon or google that keeps showing you banners of stuff you have been looking at is OK by avast ,

Mr Smith upstart ad company doing exactly the same "MALWARE" JS-Miner script ect ect...

Mr smith - you gotta pay the advertisment mafia if you wanna operate in this area .......

thought i would post an update, i have reinstalled this amazing game cause being paranoid isnt a good way to go, thank you to everyone who posted on here, i think what the issue was at the time i had a malware bytes pro trial running and most likely when it was scanning the files when avast did it aswell it prob flipped out, but now the files have NOT been detected as a virus so my inner paranoid person is satisfied

Ayy! Congrats that you're finally back with us! Glad that the false positive quit.

i really wouldnt be suprised if the dual scanning of files as they came in made it trigger the false postive, sadly i have to work now for 4 hours then i have to chose a server... char customize class and everything then i can be a no life grinder \o/

also on the plus side i dug into my files last night and found xigncode in there from like the last time i played so even i can testify that xigncode does ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when bdo isnt running
