I will just say this ,if you are 53 and have that GS ,you are doing it wrong. What is your gear share here so maybe we can help, those quests are rediculously easy. You also should be able to solo the golems for awekening at 56 ,as of things are right now ,you won't be able.
Anyway I've learnt a bit more about gear, durability, enhancement chances now (just watched a few vids). My first character tended to focus on crafting and nodes (although she's a good fighter, well up to now, lol). Guess it's time to get serious. :)
Btw, I thought the Awakening quest comes at level 56, obviously I haven't got that yet as I'm Lvl 53.
I think it's the gear she needs to get good. AP/DP now for at the moment is 91/135. I'll focus more on that now. Her 3-set of Agerian gear is +8 which obviously I need to improve.
PS - I like your review of BDO by the way unreal.status.
The difference between calpheon area and media is pretty staggering and Valencia area afterwards is also huge.
Yeah, you might have to go back to calpheon area. Get shadow rings, witch earrings, and probably just a yuria belt and necklace is fine. Your weapon should be pri-ish (15+).
The media area has asula pieces but you'll need the minimum require AP to farm them. Go back to hex. Get a few drops and get some silver. 50mil should be good enough to get you there.
This comes from a pre-steam patches. They changed the world so new commers can catch up with levels faster. But that created unbalanced progress.Pre-awekenings,the game had stable progression.Meaning that with the levels you could gather, contribution and energy points in fairly same speed.Other aspect of this is ,that the game in no way or manner hints you that you probably should stay for a week or 2 on 49,grinding mobs and getting energy and contribution points as well as Skill Points.Rushing in this game ,means mainly nothing, since you end up with no skill points, and way undergeared for mediah ,which curently is going under reconstruction. They are changing mobs, exp and such here and there thru out the game.On the gear part,as far as i get it you are sorc.So in that case ,focus on 4 grunil parts, and Liverto ,Jubre ,till you start getting your boss parts, also get the Asula accesories set ,it has nice accuracy boost and is equal to PRI MoS ,Witch earring..Make sure to invest in the -Omar Lava Cave ,and Abandoned Iron Mine in Mediah .Those you need to mine platinum, and that you need to craft reform stones.10 3rd grade(weapon, armor) reform stones + one Hard or Sharp makes the ultimate reform stone.Gear that can be reformed to ultimate gives a bit better stats then a clean unreformed gear. After awekening ,you should start focusing ,on the BiS gear.No need to enchant the Grunil above TRI,and the liverto as well.Basicly all the gear in the game has similar stats, but there are hidden stats ,so things go like this:Liverto and Kzarka DUO have 0,5 AP difference ,but the accuracy you earn from Kzarka and the AP above DUO is way bigger then the Liverto or any other gear in the game. That is why it is BiS ,it has no substitution ,or compensating the difference with other gear.If i think of some thing else i will tipe it down here.Basicly it will be after you aweken, and get the scythe.Go for the blue one it can be reformed to ultimate.Ask if you need additional clarification on parts of what i wrote.
P.S. Forgot to mention i am playing sorc since the western release of the game, and trust me you want to keep majority of your main skills, since our game play requires switching between awekening and main constantly to get the most of our class. You will need a lot of skill points.
Yes first character is a sorc. (I actually prefer playing my second (DK) character for fighting as the DK seems stronger, but the sorc isn't bad). I bought a Yuria amulet yesterday (currently upgraded to +11) so obviously will continue to improve all my gear.
Btw, I don't really rush levelling, I try to balance fighting with life skilling, empire building etc but obviously it's the gear and weapons I didn't pay much attention to before (My sorc combat skills as I mentioned before aren't bad though - 541 pts at the moment). I have a ton of useful materials which I've been just selling off but now will start to make armor, weapons, amulets etc to help durability too.
I've got witch earrings, will check out the other gear you both mentioned. And grind a bit more in Calpheon/Hexe.
Thanks!
I think this plateau I reached just made me realise how huge the game is.
If you want an affordable ring. Buy Outlaw's Ring. Its cheap to buy and to enhance. And it gives a nice DP boost.
You can also go for Red Coral Rings. Its reverse to Outlaw's Ring. You get 1 AP more but 1 DP less. Its also more expensive than Outlaw's Ring.
I'm such a noob - I realised Agerian armor isn't half as good as Grunil. Just bought a whole set of Grunil, some items already with upgrades.
The sealed magical weapon is right after you fight the witch. You turn it into a woman in the trees by Trent. It'll save you from buying a +13 offhand or higher. I hope you didn't toss your magical weapon away.
