Hey im new . Just started 2 days ago . Im lv 48 now . Plan on hitting 56 today . Im totaly lost in what to do when it comes to gear. Do i just buy grunil gear from the market place and upgrade it? And im a striker and plan on making a warrior this weekend. Are there better gears for different classes?

Grunil is a good all-around set. You can combine it with different things if you want to, but it should serve you well until you get ready for boss gear (if you ever do).

You can buy it off the market and upgrade it yourself, or you can buy it enchanted. It's sought after so you will need a bit of patience.

You can check the official BDO forums. They have a sub-forum for each class and players share their gear builds and discussions on what gear/crystals work best for them. There are also class specific Discord servers, though I'm not a member of any, so I don't have links unfortunately.

Anyway, you can buy gear from the marketplace, and if it doesn't work, or you discover something better, you can always sell it again later. I've done this with several characters.

I'm not a min-maxer, so all my characters run around in Grunil or some variation thereof.

I bought full grunil set from the market. Rookie rewards gave me all the black stones I needed for my weapon and armor. Now I'm level 35 with 40 million silver from quest and event rewards. I better start more characters now while I still have double exp.

Btw, If you care at all about the cosmetic items, it's best to take advantage of the rookie discount. Without discount, you have to pay 30 real money instead of 20 for a full set.

So is there a way to get armor from PvE ? Or is it all about buying armor from market and upgrading ? Like where exactly should I try to get armor.

If you have been running around killing things, you must have gotten armor and weapon drops.

Certain mobs drop certain items. I think all the mobs in Mediah have a chance to drop Grunil pieces (among other things) and Elites have higher drop rates.

Grunil can also be crafted at a Tier 3 Armor Workshop (I used the one in Calpheon), you just need to have the mats in storage and send a worker there once you have unlocked the workshop.

And finally, you can buy Grunil from NPC Mevo Muranan in Altinova once your amity with him is high enough (be warned, his amity game sucks).

And you can buy base or enchanted armor in the Marketplace.

Some people like enchanting. I don't. So I bide my time and buy my gear with the silver I make from selling all my loot and such.

focus on getting your quest done first, grind those contribution and energy points then build your worker's empire for income, try to get pri - dou gears (looks expensive i know but getting silver gets progressively fast) save all sharp and hard stone you get, u can enchance your gear to pri(Cheaper). You can turn green gear to yellow but do that when u manage to pri your gears. (don't worry about the cost of repairing durability)

don't watch anders money making guide.

If you are a total beginner and cant afford any decent gear, you should look for sets that you can find by killing monsters (non-tradable, cant be upgraded). Where to find these items - see the description of the item or check it on youtube

(Loure's lost armor, Loure's lost helmet, Loure's lost gloves, Loure's lost shoes)

and if your gear is good enough you can look for Asula accessories set

These items are really good for beginners and they give you bonus stats if you wear few pieces of the same set
