Wow vs Bdo
Bdo = Noob farms 14h/daily pve to get gear 1-year but his max rating in wow 1.4k arena because they can't get skill advantage by just investing insane hours.

Wow = Skilled player plays arena 2h daily and gets 2.6k rating in wow because gear is identical in arena so it's 100% skill. Every class is also capable getting 2.8k. You have also competive scene with prizes up to 100 000.

This game is 100% gear 0% skill. Designed for 12-year old kids who live in moms basement.

BDO = JOKE.

Yeah, but it's also real cheap and without a subscription fee (albeit being Pay for Convenience).
Dissection Nov 28, 2017 @ 2:25am
Wow cost per year 132 for monthly fees + 27 euro for game if you buy black friday. = 160 euros total.

I don't know single competive player in bdo who is without pets+weight upgrade+Value Pack. It's no longer convenience when you fall behind other players.

So price is 25 euro for game + 3 pets + 200 weight + value pack for 11 months which is 132 euros = Total 189 euros (With black friday bonuses)

If you're nolife you can skip value pack but even for no life 30% from market is huge loss of money and if you're lucky you might snipe value pack which is insanely hard to buy.

So wow is cheaper BUT you get challanging PVE raid content + Competive pvp enverioment. In bdo you get nice graphs and fun combat especially if you play alt. But for pvp.. Nope unless you're no life.

LOOK at HOW PVE streams dominate WOW on twitch man noone cares about PVP in WOW anymore. All the top PVP players and streamers cant or dont want to PVP anymore because they get no viewers. Dont give me this WOW PVP is skill either because all pvp is CC right now and OP team comps then dodging ques if there isnt any good match ups. I know what im talking about and you say every class can get 2.8 k rating in WOW? Not even some of the top players can get 2.8 rating every season. And to get a 2.8 k rating in wow will take you hundreds of ques. Also saying WOW isnt grindy?, that is kinda funny because I have 20000 yes 20000 world quests complete and all raid clears in legion and I still dont have every legendary on my main ffs.

Are you kidding me? Over half twitch streamers are pvp players. But how about counter argument? How many pvp streamers in bdo? Yep 0 because 99% of time you do pve to gear up as there is no pvp rewards or anykind mmr system so you can easily que for competive match.

Only reason why wow has been in slight decline is because of AGE. Cmon dude it's like soon 15-year old game and yet still most dominating mmo game in market.

And not to mention most of the VERY TOP players spend most of there off time BOOSTING FKING ACCOUNTS for all those PAY TO WIN websites. Last I checked WOW progress had less than 600 guilds that cleared MYTHIC TOMB and guess what? A lot of those clears where the top players on alts in different guilds.

My aim is not to be top1% but I have in wow 2.2k achievement and my highest was 2.3k and I was semi-casual. Thing is that I could have fun tight matches because we have close to identical gear. Here some 1.2k rated owns me just because of gear. It's so unfair.

Well I said half are pvp streamers. They're don't get top views but at least it's more than in bdo because there is no proper pvp system. It's just random gank and gear competition.

Well I dont think BDO is marketed as an esport and your legit right about gear mattering but its pretty much the same in wow in world pvp right now even with all the adjustments. Also you cant solo que rated in WOW which is compete bs.

It doesn't have to be esport but it has turned into one because it has fair match system as you're not dependable only for your gear and class. I mean every class in wow is capable getting 2.6k. In bdo class imbalance is insane not to mention gear. This is why they have blizzcon rewarding 100 000k players.

Edit: Oh and wow they have seasons. So if you're new player you can catch up others in 1-month instead 1-year.

Edit2: And of course you can gear up doing nothing but pvp in wow with BGs. In this game there is 0 pvp rewards. You do 99% of time simple pve which is boring compared dungeons/raiding. World pvp in this game is just gear check/ganking and most people skip if they know they don't have gear and svitch spots.

And I won't uninstall this game but I will play this game super casually. Just playing alts and learning combos. It's very pretty game especially because I play with 55 inch 120hz OLED tv/monitor with low delay time. Combat is actually fun. For newcomers I wouldn't recommend to spend on this game more than 5 euros because if you don't play 14h/day to catch up other folks then you're just wasting your time.

And it's unfortunate that some people spend too much on this game thinking they will catch up. It won't happen unless you devote your whole life to it and even end result isn't pretty. It will always be gear check.

For instance I went into BDO because of the reviews I read thinking it was going to be impossible for me to level and farm because all the players do is run around and kill you while you farm. Well guess what that hasnt happened one flipping time in almost 100 hours played and even if you are killed by another player it really doesnt matter just go back to what you where doing.

Well I'm going to defienetly write negative review about this game. Yes you can farm but you will always be behind pvp curve because of gear check.

Imagine if you play csgo and you get owned by guy who does 3x more damage than you. Does that make sense to you? Now imagine this scenario in tournaments. People would laugh at it.

Why would someone who devoted MOST time be automatically BEST? You can play LOL 5000 hours and still stuck in bronze ladder.

You can play wow 5000 hours and still be 1.2 rated.

People actually don't even bother with world pvp much. If spot is taken then nobody is going for it unless they have gear check.

But imagine if enchantment levels had diminishing returns. Like max 20 ap/dp difference. There would be world pvp like crazy because it's not dominated by few %.

Where do you get those numbers? There are some csgo pros only 16-years old. Then there are veterans in their 30s who are stuck in bronze. If you don't have what it takes you just don't.

Sure they practise alot but there are players who have played way more. Look some wow pvp players. They have kept 1-year brake then come back and got gladiator rank. Meanwhile I played game 1-year straight and can only dream of it.

Why would I deserve somekind special buffs because I played game longer? If player is better then me he deserves to have better rank.
Dissection Nov 28, 2017 @ 3:28am
Are you saying you automatically pro if you play game 15000 hours? Also stop inventing numbers out of your ass. 16-year old kid has more playtime than csgo veterans? Yeah sure.

Reckful hasn't played wow in like 3-years. He could return wow right now and be better than 99.9% of people who have played 3-years straight.

It's called SKILL. Time doesn't automatically mean you have most skill. Those are two different things.

Reckful could keep 10-years brake from wow and have 99% less playtime than most veterans and still OWN them. You eather have skill or you don't. If you don't have what it takes no amount of time can save you.

Btw I wrote review of this game. Going paste it here:

If you want PVP enverioment DO NOT BOTHER. This game is one of worst pvp I have ever played.

It's 100% gear and 0% skill unless you have insane amount of free time to catch up others which takes insane amount of hours. BDO has also maybe worst class imbalance out of most mmos Once you have gear check skill gets more involved but to get there is insane progress because you need to catch up veterans.

1. There are NO REWARDS for doing pvp. You spend 99.9% of time doing pve just to catch up with gear. In wow you ding max level and go just play bgs/arenas and gain gear from it.
2. It takes over year to catch up someone unless you're absolute nolife.
3. No mmr rating or other systems to put you in fair match.

Only "pvp" happens with 1% top end nolife/veteran guilds doing gvg. You also have world pvp which is just gear check. If someone has better gear people svitch spots/channels.

PVE:

99.9% of time you just grind same mobs over and over again so you can get enchant upgrade on gear. Pve doesn't offer any challange. Game is fine if you like graphics/combat/explore but gameplay it's completely garbage and lacks depth and content.

If you're nolife and want gain advantage over someone then you might like this game. In other games it doesn't work that way. You can play LOL or CSGO 3000 hours and still be bronze ladder if you don't have skills for it. Only in bdo beginner who has nolife gets most advantage.

TLDR: This game lacks: Matchmaking, Competive enverioment, XP and proper rewards for doing pvp,

Game is pretty outside, dead inside.

Yeah world pvp is what triggered me. It just sucks when I can't have fair fights. And it's not losing that bothers me. If I own someone 100-0 I'm not happy with that eather. I want fair match with mmr and close to equal gear

Red battlefield is very good except make bg for 20 people so there are more ques and more maps. With enchant nerf it would be fair and fun competive place. + Add rewards+xp. This game would be so much more fun.

This just tells you that instanced mmo is 100% better than sandbox because instanced is systematical and competive. Sandbox is just brainless.

I prefer BDO because of its aestetics and action oriented gameplay. Im not a fan of the whole fantasy elfs and orcs aestetic you get on older mmorpgs like Wow. Plus im not really a huge fan of the classic click on target and stand there/or run around in a circle and spam hot key spells combat system of traditional mmorpgs. Even though I do play ffxiv ,ultimately the click and spam hotkeys combat system bores me sometimes after long hours of play but the game is still fun to me , beautful and have a more modern aestic so I find myself logging back in and repaying the subscription fee everymonth. SO money isnt a issue for me. I come from a fighting game background. So a game like Black desert instantly catches my eye. Because of the gameplay and deep mechanics. Plus this game is heavily PvP oriented. So this game combines the 2 things i Love. RPG like character progression + action combat that resembles a fighting game . I can see why people love WoW. But like I said . I hate the elf, orc , warewolf old school theme.(I know there are more races in WoW than just those 3) I like more modern aestetics. Plus the combat system in this game is the closest you can get to a fighting game in an mmorpg. So beautiful graphics , modern aestetic , PvP focused , action combat/ fighting game mechanics. Buying and playing black desert is pretty much a no brainer for me lol. But everybody has their own taste. But i dont go on WoW forums ♥♥♥♥ talking players who like WoW for no reason lol.

WoW is a Tab targetting game. If you think Tab-Targetting takes skill... You're waayyy dumber than you look.

I'm not fan of aesthetic in wow eather. I mean it's 15-year old game and I'm playing it in my brand new 55inch oled which cost 2000 bucks + 1080gtx. It's also cartoonish which is just big turn off. Bdo looks graphically 10x better anyday.

But when it comes for characters bdo looks beyond IDIOTIC. This game is orgasm for people who are weeaboos freaks and I despise weeaboos. At least wow lore and quest logs are at least slightly more convincing but BDO is absolute mess when it comes for that. Fallout4, Witcher3 and especially Skyrim is what characters should look like. Grim, more realistic and convincing. Skyrim with bdo combat would be so amazing.

Also this game is not pvp oriented. You spend 99.9% of time doing pve. You might occasionally do world pvp if you want compete for spot but it's over very quick because winner is whoever has bigger gearscore. Most people avoid pvp completely even though they tryed to force it trough world pvp.

Instanced pvp is just better because it's in safe enverioment and you can create mmr matchmaking. 99.9% of ALL competive online games are instanced. It's only where mmo is still lagging behind. Wow used to be gear oriented back in days but they fixed it completely.

Imagine if you played MK X in online and player does 2x more damage than you just because he has more hours it would be just idiotic.
