bad graphics far away?

things far away have bad textures, i think i turned up all the settings i could but it didnt make it better, maybe im just missing somthing?

Once changed into High End mode, sometimes you have to actually log out and then log back in for the effects to take place. There is indeed a difference in High End Mode, but you have log out once you do not see the immediate changes.

I gave this a try when I first started playing the game, as I was trying to work out what the High End Mode was for.

well i noticed the difference, but the stuff far away didnt get any better

well high end mode got rid of the flickering, but stuff still looks blotchy far away

Oh well I'm going to have to take the screen myself. I can't really tell the difference on a 4k display

One thing that I have seen is that everyday the screen is not the same. I do not have to change a thing, but one day it is cleat and I can see a long way, the next it may be foggy

I'm having a similar problem. The graphics beyond a certain distance look terrible. How can I fix this, because the boats and flying Griffin shouldn't be pixelated like that.

Turn off the camera effects.. they ruin the game. There's also another option that affects distance graphics i'll check it out tomorrow evening when i'm done sleeping.

But I agree when you first start the game the settings are absolutely horrible. I remember I had a certain resolution bug where the game would override my desktop resolution and other nasty stuff happening. Honestly. The devs should've looked into the graphics and the weird things that can happen much sooner rather than adding more events/cash shop ♥♥♥♥.

This is a known bug that's been in the game for +6 months, there is a feedback topic on the official forums on it. Hopefully PA will get around to fixing it one year.

In truth we're not sure if it's a buy of PA has intentionally done this, as a crude way of improving performance.

As it stands at the moment, the game's distance textures look worse than early 2000's games (i.e. compare it to TES:Oblivion for comparison). Which is a real shame, as Black Desert's environment is ugly and outdated by today's game standards.

if you think that is bad then try to play in 1st person. I've seen better graphics in 2002 games than that. maxed settings but grass and trees look like in early PS1 games. also it locks to 30 FPS for some strange reason and stays like that.

I've seen a thing I cannot un-see. It started in black screen and shorter than my screen and my windows bottom panel jumped up few inches. it stopped to levitate only when I picked exact resolution in game settings. creepy thing.
