Malware?
Game disconnected & crashed and I got this message: https://i.imgur.com/E5DjOA1.png

From the looks of it, it looks like 100% malware

When viewing the process closer, it appears to be "XIGNCODE3" which is allegedly the anti-cheat system in BDO?

I'm currently scanning all my HDDs for malware and haven't found any yet, but I have to check this to be sure, is it a legit error msg by bdo anti-cheat?

An another kid that cry's wolf.
It says there is POSSIBILITY not 100% chance of virus.

For all you know it could have been some program that anti-cheat doesn't like and can't tell if it's virus or not.

I'm saying the window alone looks like malware

That is regular error window very much known by now.

Just because you see it for first time doesn't mean it's virus.

Get better virus protection. It is a false positive.
And that is gonna help his case how?!

It's not antivirus he has problem with it's his pre-judgments.

all it is, is Xign code being Xign code, just look at how the community loves it, there lies your answer. :azuki2:

Both of these announcements should resolve any worries you have towards the installer. They have an in-depth explanation of the program that causes these "virus warnings" to appear when trying to install BDO. The program within the BDO installation that is giving your PC these virus warnings, is merely there as a way to record, log, and track any files it deems malicious/supsicious; and as the article confirms, in no way does it store files or transfer them to other servers.

I bought BDO and now i live in a cardboard box...writing this from a library. Wasn't malware though it was the cash shop.

The message is given by xigncode3, not the av..

It's a message by Xigncode about any program running it doesn't like. This could be development tools, CPU/memory optimization programs, firewalls or antivirus programs, or just the Windows Registry Editor. A very likely cause could be also third party overlays such as Overwolf for Teamspeak 3 or similar.

I agree, the window doesn't look professional at all and it's more like something you'd indeed expect from a malware program in some way or capacity. This association has nothing to do with people overreacting. Just look at the window title alone. It should clearly state "Xigncode found a potentially suspicious program" or similar. But they even fail to mention that, indeed causing people to think it is malware or something similar.

So by that logic if window looked professional you wouldn't shout malware even though it could be?

Let's say there's some stranger offering you to sell something. Who looks more convincing? The professionally dressed one or the punk with clown shorts? Nothing against clowns or punks, but you know what I mean? ;)

Yea, I know what you mean... but it's still asinine to call it 100% malware whatever it looks like it or not.

If he just said the window looks old and butt ugly he would be more correct.

Finally, someone gets it.

More importantly did you get it?

EDIT:
Or solved your problem? Because if it's yes for both then I don't see any point in continuation of this thread or telling who gets what.
