Am I doing this wrong?

Today I got a kzarka for my main from the night vendor ($110mil). Began to upgrade doing the failstacking method of low armor usually talis since it's abundant (80k x 50 in reserved = 4mil). At the time I got where I am now, I used 100 black armor stones ($21mil) and about 32 black weapon stones (10mil) bring my kzarka to +12 with only 40 durability left, which to fix is going to be relatively 60 mem frags at 800k ($48mil) which in total costs $172mil. Of course, I didn't spend this much as I already had the black stones. Take away the $110mil for the weapon, is upgrading from +1-12 for 62mil going in the right direction?

I thought about doing reblath to cut the costs but that's white gear which doesn't failstack as high and doesnt really resell, and it's only 4 mil in comparison to the other stuff.

Do what I do. Go grind Saunils for failstacking gear. Saunils drop a ton of Talis armor among other things.

I never ever pay for failstacking gear when I can go grind gear for free. It saved me millions on silver doing it this way.

As to mem frags.

You can AFK fish for Relic Shards or grind Saunils and Hexes. Preferably with an alt below 56. Hexes also drops Heve and Yuria.

You can also grind Iron Mines, Rogues, Manes, and Elrics for Forbidden Books.

If the gear your failstacking on goes to +15. Go to a Blacksmith, extraction, extract blackstones. You'll get 30 Blackstones back.

Fail stack gear though is 4 mil, and that's for 50 pieces. I'm good with buying auction house failstacking armor since 4 mill is made in half hour in sausan (it's all about time wasting vs saving money).

I did think about that but I can't justify the amount of time I'd waste grinding saunil for armor pieces and rounding up 4-5mil an hour at the same time.

As for mem frags, I was going to test the relic scroll run. 800k a relic, 50 relics for 10 scrolls (40mil). From my understanding you'll get 10 crests automatically, about 3-5 stones and about 3-5 mem frags each, and a grip of junk. The trade off is 1 relic shard for 1 mem frag pricing with extra black stones getting around 2-3mil profit from junk per run. Again, I'm going to test this out tomorrow if it's worth my time. I make around 11mil per hour from sausan, so I'll see if this is better.

Enhancing is expensive. There are people going down to 20 Durability and only got +10, other pretty much one-shot to Pri and lose like 30 Durability. That's RNG for you.

That a waste. Just use a negative Karma alt, downgrade to +14 (even get a Blackstone back) and have a perfectly fine +14 Armorpiece to failstack again on.

The waste is losing blackstones you will likely struggle to get back. Without blackstones there is no failstacking.

And how do you get +14 Gear to failstack with your 30 Blackstones again? Besides, coming by normal Blackstones isnt really that hard.

Just did my relic run where 5 players did 5 relic scrolls and I did 10 totalling 30 scrolls. I got 1.7mil in silver by trash and silver alone, 90 seals which is 45 black stones, and 53 mem frags.

A mem frag is relatively 750K while a relic is 850K. Buying 50 relics for this 10 scrolls is around 42 mil while the 53 mem frags is equivalent to 40mil, but with the junk it seems like a break even if not for the black stones. 45 black stones is 9mil. Is it worth it to do a relic run?

No, it isn't. 9 mil to do 30 scrolls took me a total of 3 hours. 1 hour to gather the relics and ride from my pre-destination of heidel to the spot, which can be avoided with an alt from calpheon, 1 hour to gather a party and 1 hour to actually fight all 30 scrolls. The 9 mil doesn't even translate to the tax if I were to sell the stones either which I'd get around 6 mil, which is 2 mil per hour.

In 3 hours, I could've made 30 mil from sausan and bought 30 mil of mem frags (40ish) without spending the previous amount of 42 mil, which I would've still had. Now, I'm 42 mil short as I need the black stones and mem frags to level up my gear, and I have to ride back to kusha from calpheon.

Relic run isn't worth it unless you have the relics already. You waste more time doing the scroll battles than making a profit somewhere else like selling the relics itself and continue to AFK fish with little effort for the exact same amount of profit.

Is the question: Sitting on the Market bidding on Memory Fragments or doing Relics for half an hour (or lets say generously with getting everyone to the half-island a hour). Dont do it with randoms, do them with your guild. Will save you a lot of time. Even more if people dont waste time between summons.

Lol, the real question is why did I go with the kzarka when liverto is incredibly cheaper. I believe the only kzarka worth getting is the long sword version which gives both attack and cast. Liverto trade off is literally the same and it's been tested.

When you aren't playing you should be AFK fishing on a toon with high inv space. After a while you will fill up your storage with relic shards. My calpheon storage has 100 relic shards after about 2 weeks of afk fishing. Whenever I start upgrading something with a gold name I just go run the relic scrolls and use the mem frags I get from them to repair (i usually also use artisians cuz im a whale)

Dont ever buy memfrags. If you buy anything, buy relic shards.

I can't leave me computer on. I'm saying this because I'm very tight on bills and my utility bill 3 months ago was over a grand alone, which really hurt. If my pc is on, it must be played. I'm in game about 2hrs a day, 2 hours are for chores, 8 for sleep and the rest is work. I'm a slave to my job but it brings me green bundles of joy.
