Crafting / Crafted items on AH
My life skills are all Pro 6-9 and i stockpiled tons of mats so it was time to craft some stuff.
I tried to craft few things like ship parts, wagon parts, horse gear and after processing all the materials needed i just sold the materials... The prices for selling actual crafted items are 2-5 times lower than crafted item?

So crafting for sale is dead in this game and my guess is that you only craft for yourself what is needed and sell rest of the materials. Or maybe i am missing something here :sadbs:

One example:

Fishing Boat Decoration AH price - 400k

Materials needed:
45x Iron Ingot = 400k
10x Pure Iron Crystal = 1mil
15x Black Stone Powder = 50k

1,4 milion. Thats what you instantly get by selling materials (minus tax)
0,4 milion. When you make that item and try to sell it..

It depends on the item. Some just aren't worth it, so you've got to do your research to learn what's worth your time or not.

For example, fishing boat decoration is terrible, but I can make Silver Embroidered Cook's Clothes that sell for a minimum of 470k by using materials that sell for a maximum of 205k.

There's also good money to be made simply by processing your life away while afk if you know where to look; and it's the same there, that some items are worth processing while others aren't.

You can make money with crafting, but you really have to research the items and cost of mats and find the things that it makes sense to sell.

And yes, Fishing Boat Decorations are a pet peeve of mine. The sell price makes no sense.

A regular Fishing Boat or several of the wagons, though, you would be able to make money crafting them.

there are lots of items you can craft for profit. Some items you craft at a loss is just for personal use.

This right here welcom to gaming, its the same even in eve online, you will break out the spread sheets and find out there is tons of junk in that game people sell that on paper they could make more selling the raw mats for. Its also the same in tons of other MMOs you just don't sell those items if you want most bang for the buck you got do little digging and many things in this would be for personal use, those typically don't get sold worth a ♥♥♥♥ so its just easier to make it your self then preorder and cross fingers some one else will sell it at a loss

Also, something ive noticed is that an item price can drop (and probably raise) a lot in the marketplace, aka min and max prices changing over time.

I used to make tons of money out of a crafted item, keeping the supply somewhat low.
Someone probably noticed it too, but this stupid guy flooded the market with hundreds.

Result, item is down to less than half its starting price and is no more worth crafting...as now it is a net loss to even think about crafting it.

So, perhaps your ship item was worth it to craft once upon a time, but overflooded market destroyed its selling price.
