Using Xpadder with BDO
Ill mainly play with mouse and keyboard but sometimes i wanna sit in bed and mess around with a controller. Problem is game seems to be overriding Xpadder and i cant set it up like i do with all my other games. Anyone knows whats wrong?

You should buy a ps4 controller. I find them a bit more reliable than the steam controller. I'm not sure about the xpadder though.

Xpadder is a program. It just takes inputs from keyboard and links it to the gamepad you have set up. It worked with every single game ive tried so far =/

Look in settings in BDO & turn off controller so it will use the keyboard not controller imputs.

Thats what i suspected i needed to do but i cant find the option. I see Use gamepad option near the invert gamepad option but it doesnt let me use Xpadder even when the option is checked off.

How about you buy an xbox one remote and connect it via bluetooth

or go to setings and turn off controller support

Why? xbox one charging cable will let you play and is cheaper just unplug when done with it... That is how I use mine to play on the pc, also if you own both it doesn't override it on xbox one, so I unhook it and hit the middle button it turns on the xbox and links up, then turn it off then plug it into the cable and its in pc mode.

The best solution is to get Steam Contr., it works with BDO without any problems

or read the posts i made maybe. Also, more gently, the post isnt "I have 50$ to blow on a new controller, which one should i buy?" its about making Xpadder work.

Since steams past few updates, each game now has a controller configuration option with the game. It's the last option under "Links" on the game in your library. Not saying it will work, but you could give some settings a tweak and see what happens.

Or, go to View > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings. And see if any of those settings work. (I'm guessing here as i use an 360 controller and it works fine.)

I'm pretty sure its the anticheat blocking 3rd party software.

Meh, that would sound about right

Funny thing is that I managed to make xpadder work with BDO a few months back by messing with the xbox one controller drivers, but after reinstalling windows I am not able anymore, I will probably mess with the drivers again to see if it works once again
