Actual Server location?
So I read that the Daum EU servers are located in Amsterdam (or Amsterdaum) in netherlands, which is like next to germany where I live.

I usually have really good connections in online games
20-30 ping on Valve CSGO MM EU servers stable
5-20 ping on Faceit EU servers stable
idk ping of other online games but usually very stable "feeling".

But when I play BDO I noticed occasional laggs and a handful of my guild members experience the same. We are just a small 20/20 guild to begin with.

So I did some testing with Windows resource manager and found out that
I have 70-80 ping in BDO and everytime I lagg it spikes up to 1500 ping (happens a LOT). Not to mention the random disconnects ppl incl. myself have. Weird considering the servers are supposed to be next door. So I'm not expert but i think while the actual world server may be in Amsterdam it could be that all information has to go through some sort of database in NA which causes a lot of latency problems and stability issues.

I don't think there is anything I can do about it but if u have any tips to improve my BDO experience let me know cause I love the game and intend to play it for a while.

It wont help your problem, but...

I live in France and ive 20 to 40 ms ping (according to Windows monitoring)

Still, sometimes (less now than some weeks ago), there can be huge lagspikes
I really doubt there is any communication with NA anyway.

Now, most of the servers in EU are overcrowded and i think most of the lags and disconnections come from this overcorwded servers situation.

Some people also report that some channels are better or more stable for them.
Personnally, i couldnt AFK fish without being disconnected, changed channel, problem fixed.
So, there is at least something there....

Maybe you are right. I did notice that i can play relatively lagg-free and suddenly have laggs after a ch switch. Ill have to test this again on different channels at different daytimes.
