so when i afk fish it takes 7 hours for my durability or inventory to run out (i have 85 inventory slots) i feel like that might to long. How do i lower the amount of time it takes. Im professional 3 in fishing and use a Balenos Fishing Rod +5

Make sure you have +5 fishing, find a place that has abundant resources to reduce the time to hook a fish, use the penguin pet if you have it, pick up the Ice Flower Snack from the Termian Festival that's currently running. There might also be food that helps, but I'm not sure.

Otherwise, I don't think there's much you can do besides further enhance your rod. Auto-fishing is meant to be slow. That's the thing that makes it fair to active fishers.

+1 fisherman crafted outfit? I believe it takes off 1 sec. 1 sec for 7 hours is still a lot. You might not find one in the auction house but you can make 1 from a +3 failstacking. There's also food like soft bread too.

The outfit just adds +% fishing exp, +movement speed, and +fishing level. If you have +5 fishing speed already, it won't help you fish faster.

+5 fishing speed, like your combat stats (attack speed, casting speed, movement, gathering, etc.). That reduces how much time it takes to get a bite to happen.

After that, it's all about whatever you can find that has -% autofishing time on it, like further enhancing your Balenos rod.

the resource will be a big factor whether its exhausted, not enough, average, abundant etc... if you're on deep sea it can be as fast as 10-15seconds on a snag but if you're afking on shorelines that are exhausted it will take a whole lot of time

fishing level helps cut off time from bite to bite, you can get that from silver embroided and the upgrades it has so i get the following:
+2 silver embroided = 2
+2 guild fishing = 2
splat outfit = 1
total = +5 (max) fishing

you can dont have to get these you can get food enchantments as well but they will only last the duration

now from bite to reel in afk will start at 3 minutes, you get reduction from penguin/polar bear as well as balenos fishing rod per enchantment.. and also some food but that only last a little bit... so you can turn that 3minutes to as low as 1:40-2:00 etc..

as you level higher you use less durability to even procing no durability loss.. so the more you leevl the less you'll use by the time you wake up you could still have your rod half the durbility on full inventory
