Black Desert

Black Desert

We need a "Hide Players" option by the minimap
Velia, Heidel, Calpheon, etc...anytime you go in a big city it is a lag fest trying to load all the players nearby, and not to mention trying to navigate to certain npcs for quests and such. Plus, a ton of wagons, horses, etc travelling for trade makes it tough too.

This problem has been going on for a bit. While the population of the game might not be great for the original home of the game, it's pretty much skyrocketting over here.

Here's how the "Hide Players" option works:
-Before entering a large city, click Hide Players option.
-From here on out when moving on, the game will ignore loading nearby players. (this includes their pets, wagons, horses, their effect items etc)
-When unchecking the "Hide Players" option, it will start loading all nearby players immediately and from here on out.

what do you mean? everyone plays on the same servers. there is no "over here" and "over there."

I do like this idea of hiding some of the junk to help with the lag you get in towns. For me the biggest problem is all the horses and carriages. It would be cool if there were seperate toggles for things like other player's mounts, the level of detail at which other characters are rendered (for people that still want to be able to see others but not lag to death).

you can already hide other player's pets and effects.

Yes I know everyone plays on the same servers. It's to hide the player models.

He may mean Korea, which does have separate servers.

Toggling the visibility of parked mounts in towns would clear up a lot of clutter for little gameplay effect...

As I don't believe you can do anything to other player parked mounts in town anyway.

It can be a real mess sometimes in the cities.............these options should have come with the launch.

Obviously they would only work in safe areas as you would want to keep an eye on any threat once you leave them - aka pvpers.
