In 2017, you really should have more ram. Not trying to sound like an ass, but I'd really suggest in general that you begin to save up some cash for an upgrade.

The minimum is 6Gb ram for BDO, and you'll find minimum requirements around that for other modern games, if not higher.

One of my friends that plays BDO plays it with 4GB of ram. Even if he had the other requirements more than checked off, there are places, such as big cities, that take much longer to load than average and certain events, such as rain, that can take a chunk out of fps.

Probably what will be impacted the most is the time it takes to switch between characters and gameplay when it comes to world bosses and widescale pvp battles.

- If you don't buy pearls, you would probably have an alternative character to be placed at a marketplace to snipe certain items that may be placed there. My friend cannot do that for sniping pearl items since the time it takes to switch is a little more than 2 minutes, and really the majority of items he wants on the mp currently is pearl items. A temporary solution to this would be to buy a maid from the pearl shop for around $12.

I still believe that this game is worth trying out as it still has much, much more content than what was described. My friend has 4GB of ram, but he still enjoys the game with great fps outside of what was said, and is still playing daily.

He will be upgrading to a 8GB in a couple of weeks, and in all honestly, you should do the same. It will cost around $60ish for a new 8GB stick, but if you plan on being a pc gamer, this will help immensely in the long run.

Upgrade to 8GB ram at least. Shouldn't be too expensive.

Smart choice. You'll enjoy the game, and even more so with higher ram available.

No. The game has mechanics that are designed to keep you logged in 24/7 and it memory leaks. It sits around 8 GB after a day on my machine and eventually it will crash.

Ramm is cheap. no reason not to have at lest 8 gigs these days. Hell, its normal to have 16 or 32, but this all depends on your motherboard. SO, before you go buying ramm, make sure it match's the current ones or upgrade/replace to better ones that are supported and of course pair them correctly in the dimm slots as directed in the boards manual.

It uses ~500mb on tray... (I have 4gb ram)

Man, its possible, but expect 5 - 12 fps in towns, 3 fps in cities and 25 fps in the countryside - but either way , I play the game like this and I really enjoy the game
My reason for having 4gb ram?
I have had no need for it, and as a teen I have little money at all - however I will definitely get better ram now, since I need it
