The minimum is 6Gb ram for BDO, and you'll find minimum requirements around that for other modern games, if not higher.
Probably what will be impacted the most is the time it takes to switch between characters and gameplay when it comes to world bosses and widescale pvp battles.
- If you don't buy pearls, you would probably have an alternative character to be placed at a marketplace to snipe certain items that may be placed there. My friend cannot do that for sniping pearl items since the time it takes to switch is a little more than 2 minutes, and really the majority of items he wants on the mp currently is pearl items. A temporary solution to this would be to buy a maid from the pearl shop for around $12.
I still believe that this game is worth trying out as it still has much, much more content than what was described. My friend has 4GB of ram, but he still enjoys the game with great fps outside of what was said, and is still playing daily.
He will be upgrading to a 8GB in a couple of weeks, and in all honestly, you should do the same. It will cost around $60ish for a new 8GB stick, but if you plan on being a pc gamer, this will help immensely in the long run.
Thanks for the helpful info, think am just gonna hold out to donwload it as it is a very big game and download it later this week by then i'll have upgraded to 8gb's of ram, so i don't have to worry about any hiccups and should have a smooth expierence.
Smart choice. You'll enjoy the game, and even more so with higher ram available.
No. The game has mechanics that are designed to keep you logged in 24/7 and it memory leaks. It sits around 8 GB after a day on my machine and eventually it will crash.
My reason for having 4gb ram?
I have had no need for it, and as a teen I have little money at all - however I will definitely get better ram now, since I need it
