Where to fish Skipjack?

I've been attempting to find this bugger for the past few days in the Velia area, and so far I've been unsuccessful. I've tried various spots there to fish, and I've come up empty. Are there any tricks to increase my chances or could I just possibly be in the wrong spot? Not sure what I am doing wrong. I'm new to BDO.

Not 100% sure where ive got some, but i think it is near / from Luivano island.
As ive a rowboat (slow as hell), it is between Velia and Luivano anyway, i dont go any farther.

There is also a fishing node connected to Luivano island providing them (dried)

Hmm, I tried there once, no harm in doing so again I suppose, already wasted a few days trying to find this damn fish.

Yeah...

I was concerned that the information I found was wrong...

It is indeed out in the sea area with that island...

But, it seems to be exceedingly rare for its quality level...


I did 5 or so multi hour afk fishing trips out there before I caught two of them.

Many, many more blue quality and even gold quality fish were gained before I got two of that fish...
And it's green quality .
