You make a char and, after awakening, he turns into something completely different.
Ranger goes from ranger to melee, DK goes from melee to ranged...
Many other classes lose their flavor in the process too.
Awakening being much more powerful than non awakening, you are also forced for the most part to play in awakened form.
Not really a fan at all of this design choice...
"Archer class" It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ranger, there's a difference between a ranger and an archer
Rangers dmg sucks? Wait what?
Ranger mainly has super armor, from: elven rage(2 part move, 1st part is the charge which is only a front block, 2nd part is the release which is super armor) breezy blade(which is your main engage, and rushing wind are also both super armors, as is wailing winds 100% ulti version, and I believe regeneration is super armor, which is a down attack meant to chain cc, and vine knot is super armor. too get maximum effectiveness of rangers super armor, let its animation play out!!
Frontal blocks are as followed, which should still be utilized: Wailing wind(non 100% ulti version)
Natures tremble(main burst ability)
Note: lots of rangers spam waltz, and waltz is not a good ability by itself,
I won't go into big detail, but rangers damage does not suck, you just need to know it's combos, and how to chain cc. ranger is a very skillful class..... we have lots of cooldowns, notice how you never see any rangers running around?
as for pve, it's an extremely fast clearer, though mana is an issue.
so i would recommend x2 extraction gems in mainhand. and lotta mana pots
It also starts off with a dagger as the off-hand and has a bunch of kicks and close-combat skills.
